Unfortunately I only remember part of my last dream from last night, which was interesting, but I forgot a lot of the details; it was probably partly inspired by the book 1984 (Nineteen Eighty-Four), which I have been reading recently & I am still reading it since I never read the entire book before.
It was a bit like a movie and the actor Robert Patrick was a military officer in what seemed to be a future time period, and one of the soldiers under him was Colin Farrell.
Mr. Patrick and the rest of his soldiers (including Mr. Farrell) seemed to be on an official leave/a break from the military for some off-time/vacation time, and they were spending time around a dock-like area that had small shops, markets, restaurants, clubs, et cetera.
The dream world seemed darker with a dark purplish haze maybe (I am not sure) like in some of those rougher/polluted looking movies of the future, I am not sure if it was because of the time of day and/or if the world really was darker like that.
The soldiers and maybe all the people had a row of small horizontal lights that might have been on their foreheads (but I could be wrong, I do know that they were on a visible part of their bodies) and the color green represented that your health was good and it might have also shown/represented if you were likely still supporting/in compliance with/brainwashed by/the government/mainstream society/or whatever the power structure was (but I am not sure).
The lights were probably connected to implants in the body that monitor people’s physical states, mental states, emotional states, et cetera; and the lights were probably public indicators of a person’s condition, so that everyone could see.
Mr. Patrick was the only person who I remember not having his lights green, his were an orangish color I think, because he had a somewhat major medical problem that needed to be dealt with & he was now resisting the brainwashing/mainstream society/the government/or whatever the power structure was.
Mr. Farrell and some of the other soldiers under Mr. Patrick were trying to get him to see a doctor, and they were trying to get him to no quit the military.
Mr. Patrick had recently unofficially quit the military, he was tired of fighting Imperial Wars & killing people, and he was now resisting the brainwashing/mainstream society/the government/or whatever the power structure was.
Mr. Patrick was very popular among his soldiers, so much so that some of them were thinking about quitting the military & resisting as well, but they still had not completely broken their support for the brainwashing/mainstream society/the government/or whatever the power structure was.
Mr. Farrell was the soldier under him who was the closest to completely joining him, but he was still trying to convince Mr. Patrick to change his mind; since bad things probably happened to people who unofficially quit the military and for those who resisted the brainwashing/mainstream society/the government/or whatever the power structure.
Mr. Patrick was suffering from his medical condition but he was refusing to get medical help, probably because it would also require the doctors to get his lights green again, to get him back in line with the brainwashing/mainstream society/the government/or whatever the power structure.
Mr. Patrick was probably spending a lot of time drinking/thinking/looking gloomy at one of the bars or he was hanging out in one of the quieter shacks/shops/businesses as Mr. Farrell kept trying to get him to change his mind, and there were parts of the dream showing some of the other soldiers & people around the businesses in the dock area.
Oddly I am not sure if I was in the dream or not during these parts, but I know that I was in the dream near the end. 😀
At some point another military officer or government agent or agent of the power structure came to investigate Mr. Patrick and convince him to change his mind before it was too late, this did not seem the normal way they handled these situations, but they seemed to be giving Mr. Patrick a chance since he was a respected military officer it seemed; and they did not want to lose a valuable high level person.
It seemed that normally they would arrest, torture, kill, re-brainwash/re-educate people, or whatever it took to get them to support the brainwashing/mainstream society/the government/or whatever the power structure; so Mr. Patrick was being given a rare chance to change his mind before it would come to that, but Mr. Patrick said that he would rather die than return to his old life.
Mr. Patrick seemed to probably be willing to even kill himself if necessary to avoid being forced to support the brainwashing/mainstream society/the government/or whatever the power structure again.
The military officer or government agent or agent of the power structure kept trying to convince him to change his mind for a while and then he left hoping that Mr. Patrick would change his mind, because the next visit would not be nice if Mr. Patrick did not change his mind.
Mr. Farrell continued to show signs that he was close to resisting like Mr. Patrick but I can not remember what happened, I just remember being in the dream at some point, and I went to one of the shack-like buildings; and my grandfather was there.
I remember helping him find certain things that he had lost around the shack, because he was trying to work on one of his little projects to keep busy or get something done, and I think that one thing that I found for him was maybe a pocket knife that he wanted to sharpen and/or carve some wood or something with.
I think that someone else came into the shack at some point, but I can not remember who; but that is all that I can remember.
