People Trying To Kill Me & A Woman & A Baby & Getting Mutated & Getting Quarantined

I went to bed very late last night and I slept pretty well, and so I only barely remember part of one or more dreams (I am not sure which); and it or they took place between the afternoon – night in a fictional city.

I remember being in a fictional city near highways, businesses, et cetera like I had been exploring the city; and at some point something happened where a group of people (probably a gang) started trying to kill a woman, the woman’s baby, and I.

I did not know the woman or the baby but I tried to help them, the group/gang of people had guns and they shot at us, and they chased us; and so we ran away from this neighborhood, down the highways, and eventually we hid inside a fast food restaurant along the highway and we probably called the police.

There were other people in this fast food restaurant and a lot more happened in this dream before and after this part of the dream, but all that I can remember is that this seemed to be a good hiding place; but maybe the police did not show up yet, and so we kept hiding and waiting.

At some point a man and/or I went to try/use a prototype electronic device (maybe a smart phone/mobile phone or something like that, maybe to try to call the police again, but I can not remember), I am not sure if someone left it or where it came from, and the man and/or I got mutated into what looked somewhat like The Thing from the Fantastic Four.

This prototype device had a flaw that would mutate some people and/or something like that, soon helicopters/et cetera arrived from the corporation and/or government who owned the prototype, I remember joking about their response time compared to the police and that I should have done this sooner and that this would probably scare away the group/gang trying to kill us.

They came to quarantine the man and/or I and take us to an island as test subjects I guess, I asked them to help the woman and her baby and for them to deal with the group/gang or I would refuse to go with them, and they agreed to help the woman and her baby and to deal with the group/gang; and so the man and/or left with them by helicopter.

They took us to an island to a secure windowless facility where they kept us and watched us and experimented on us, and at some point I remember being in a windowless room that had a rectangular pool of water in it that was like a swimming pool and a pond; and there were probably some fish and other things in the water.

Some interesting things happened during this part of the dream, I know that cameras and scientists were watching me from somewhere else, but I can not remember what happened.
