Small Island

Masterpiece Classic: Small Island

I forgot most of my dreams from last night, but I do know that one or more of my dreams involved the BBC / PBS television film Small Island.

Which I rented from The B Parish Library where I work when I noticed the actress Ruth Wilson and the actor Benedict Cumberbatch on the cover of the DVD when I was shelving DVDs while I was working on my shelver job.

I was curious because I never knew that they had starred (acted) together in anything before, and I have watched some of this film the last two days in a row and I will probably finish watching it today.

My dream or dreams involved topics and probably some characters from that film and some fictional characters, and so the dream probably took place during and/or after World War II.

The dream or dreams focused on relationships, racism, citizenship, hate, ethnocentrism, nationalism, war, marriage, family, friendship, dating, conflict, imperialism, discrimination, social class, income, culture, society, pregnancy, and more.

These topics and more were explored through following some of the characters and situations from the film Small Island, and fictional characters and situations inspired by that film that my mind came up with on its own.

I am not sure if I was in the dream or dreams at any point or not.

I also can not remember any of the exact scenarios in detail, but I do know that they followed closely with the film so far, so relationships and marriage and racism and discrimination were major themes.

But that is all that I can remember of this dream or dreams.

The end,

Hello James Ngari,

I also was not able to voice record my dreams because of problems with my MP3 player, and so I lost some details that I did remember.

The previous night was even worse.

Thank you for commenting,
