A Super Steep Bridge / Highway

I woke up to use the bathroom and then I realized that it was time to get ready for work, and so I voice recorded barely part of the only dream that I can remember (even though I know that I had more dreams, but I can not remember them).

All that I can remember of this dream is that it took place during the day, and I was traveling by automobile or some other kind of vehicle with some of my family (my mom, one or more of my brothers, and two fictional elementary school age (maybe 4th – 5th grade) sisters with light-color skin with long yellow and / or brown straight hair and maybe one of them was named Ashley and maybe the other was named Nicole but I could be wrong; but I can not remember if my dad was with us are not), and I was driving.

We were driving on a highway on our way to maybe another country, we possibly drove through one or more countries, but I can not remember where we were going or why.

As I drove on the highway among other automobiles we reached a very hilly part of the highway, and in the distance was an impossibly steep tall bridge or part of the highway.

I remember seeing some speed limit signs that warned us to slow down to about 5 MPH (miles per hour), which I thought was too slow, and so I only slowed down to a certain amount but not that slow.

We reached a steep part of the highway so I stopped accelerating, and I let the momentum (whatever) move us forward but this caused us to go much faster than expected because I had not slowed down enough earlier like the speed limit signs said so the drop was so steep that we started going down the hill very fast toward the impossibly steep bridge or part of the highway.

At first I saw this as a good thing because the bridge was so steep that we needed all the speed that we could get to reach the top, it was so steep that you could not see what was on the other side of the bridge, and we did reach the top thanks to the speed.

But the bridge was even steeper than I had thought and we were going too fast, and so our automobile or vehicle flew in the air once we reach the top instead of staying on the bridge and going safely over it.

Our automobile or vehicle possibly flipped when we were in the air but I am not sure, I just know that I was ejected from the vehicle into the air, and this felt real and scary because this was at the top of a very tall and steep bridge so I would die if I landed down below.

I started to fall and so I tried to grab on to the bridge and / or anything on the bridge to stop or slow down my fall, and amazingly I was able to successfully do this which prevented me from dying or getting injured.

Things get strange and confusing at this point, maybe some automobiles were parked on the bridge even though this would be impossible with how steep it was so I assume that they were parked at the very bottom where the steepness ends, but I could be wrong.

There were other people down there too, and to make things even more strange there were openings in the bridge that led to rooms that I assume were like apartments or rest stops or whatever.

I immediately was worried about finding my family, I was a bit panicked and I hoped that they were okay, and I was blaming myself for what happened.

I found my mom and she was okay but the others were still missing, we possibly found one of my brothers but I can not remember, but my fictional sisters Ashley and Nicole were still missing.

I remember us running around yelling their names while looking for them, and we were asking people if they had seen them.

I found a mail package that had fallen from our automobile or vehicle that had my name on it along with our address, and so I saw this as a sign that maybe my fictional sisters were alive and around this area some where.

I have no idea where our automobile or vehicle landed, but a girl with light-color skin who was with her family in one of the rooms inside the bridge told us that she had a classmate named Ashley and / or Nicole so she told us that she might know my sister or sisters.

She said that she possibly saw one or both of them, and she went to check where she possibly saw them and ask her family if they had seen them.

This brought some relief but I was still very worried, and I just wanted to find my sisters and the rest of my family alive and well.

I remember wishing that I would have slowed down more like the speed limit sign had recommended, and so I was not sure what I was going to do if one or more members of my family were killed or hurt because of me.

I was not sure how I was going to be able to live with that kind of burden / regret / shame / pain / et cetera.

But I woke up.

The end,

I often dream of super steep highways and bridges like this. My dreams always turn out fairly different than this one though. Although I can relate to the part where your car is going to fast and then goes up into the air. That seems to happen to me a lot.

That’s also interesting that you had two fictional little sisters. I don’t think I’ve ever dreams of fictional family members

Hello Moment,

I forgot about that, thanks for reminding me of your out of control automobile and driving dreams.

Yeah, oddly this happens sometimes in my dreams and I usually do not notice, in real life I have 4 brothers and no sisters but somehow I did not realize or remember that I do not have any sisters. 😀

Usually in my dreams the names of these fictional family members are not mentioned, but interestingly they were probably mentioned in this dream if I was correct about those two names.

Thanks for sharing that you have four brothers. You seem to dream of them often and I notice that sometimes the initials (names) are different, but I do not keep track of them. It definitely seemed like you had more than 2 brothers, but i was not really sure. So that kind of clears things up 😊

You are welcome Moment. 🙂

Yep, but my brother CC is in my dreams the least since he left and joined the military and started his own family a few years ago so I rarely get to see him or talk to him.

We all have the same last name and the same parent’s, but my brothers KD and TD both have names that start with a D so to tell them apart I use the first initial of their nicknames (K = King and T = The) followed by the initial of their first names. 😉

So imagine some nicknames like King David or The Donald (which is not his name, this is just an example) converted into KD and TD, but that does make is seem a bit confusing if one does not know what those abbreviations stand for.

I wonder if I should add the initials of their middle names instead so that our last name initials will all match?
