What is it about?

This is how Crunchyroll describes this animated television show:

Explore the far reaches of the galaxy in this undeniably hip series that inspired a generation – and redefined anime as an indisputable art form.

The Bebop crew is just trying to make a buck.

This motley lot of intergalactic loners teams up to track down fugitives and turn them in for cold hard cash.

Spike is a hero whose cool façade hides a dark and deadly past.

The pilot Jet is a bruiser of a brute who can’t wait to collect the next bounty.

Faye Valentine is a femme fatale prone to breaking hearts and separating fools from their money.

Along for the ride are the brilliant, but weird, hacker Ed and a super-genius Welsh Corgi named Ein.

On their own, any one of them is likely to get lost in the sprawl of space, but together, they’re they most entertaining gang of bounty hunters in the year 2071.

My Thoughts

This anime (animated) television show is often considered one of the greatest anime television shows of all time, and it probably changed how I saw anime the day when I happen to catch most of episode one on Toonami by accident one day when I was flipping through channels on the television.

Whether you think that it is the greatest anime television show of all time or not, most would probably agree that it is a classic, and the day that I saw it I could never see anime like Dragon Ball Z the same again.

This television show destroyed Dragon Ball Z for me, and it showed me that anime was capable of more than I had expected.

I was amazed by this show the day that I saw most of episode one, during a commercial break I looked up what the name of the show was, and I went on to try to make sure that I start watching it because I wanted to watch more.

The music in this television show is pretty good too, I still listen to some of the songs until this day, and music is often well-timed with scenes in this show.

I like how the music combines jazz, blues, and several other styles sometimes in several different languages in a way that helps to create a mood / atmosphere that is often pretty cool depending on the scene.

The English dub for this is great, and I like how the world that this is set in and the everyday struggles that the main characters have to deal with is rougher and a bit more realistic depiction of a possible future.

This show is a combination of several genres like science fiction and westerns et cetera.

A few of the episodes of this show are amazing and still hold up all these years later, even the animation is still amazing at times, but not every episode is amazing like episode two which I do not like.

It is amazing to me that this television show never got a second season yet after all of these years, and that it only got one movie that was not as good as I think that this show deserves; but maybe that is somewhat of a good thing since it is more likely that another season would not be as good, but I still think that it at least deserves a better movie or a mini-series.

If you have never seen this show before I recommend watching it.

    1. Hello The Otaku Judge,

I agree, it is probably a classic.

Cool, and I bought the Cowboy Bebop movie years ago as soon as I could find it.

Definitely, the soundtracks are a classic, and the English dub is possibly a classic as well.

The movie is not bad, it has been years since I seen it though and I still need to make a post about it one day, but I probably expected it to be better (though there were some great moments here and there).

      Thank you for commenting,
