What is it?
The 2018 original video animation (OVA) (?) anime (animated) television show FLCL Progressive.
What is it about?
This is how the IMDb describes this anime (animated) television show:
Many years have passed since Naota and Haruhara Haruko shared their adventure together.
Meanwhile, the war between the two entities known as Medical Mechanica and Fraternity rages across the galaxy.
Enter Hidomi, a young teenaged girl who believes there is nothing amazing to expect from her average life, until one day when a new teacher named Haruko arrives at her school.
Soon enough, Medical Mechanica is attacking her town and Hidomi discovers a secret within her that could save everyone, a secret that only Haruko can unlock.
What do I like about it and what would someone else like about it?
The animation is better than FLCL and it is less annoying than FLCL, and I think that other people will like that as well.
Final Thoughts
Me and my brother GC finished watching this last night on Toonami.
This anime television show annoyed me less than my second or third viewing of FLCL but its ending credits theme was not as good as FLCL’s, and its animation style and the show itself did not give me some feelings of nostalgia for a certain time period in anime like FLCL does.
I still like the original better than this overall, because this season does not really build where the previous season left off or explain the world better and it is not better overall, and so I do not see why this exists really.
The end,

I have yet to watch FLCL. Based on the trailer, I think it might be too weird for my taste. On the plus side I like the design of the girl’s headphones.

Hello The Otaku Judge,
The FLCL trailer for the first season was better, the trailer for FLCL Progressive (which is season 2) was not good, but the joint trailer for FLCL Progressive and the future season 3 FLCL Alternative is better than the FLCL Progressive trailer in my opinion.
FLCL and FLCL Progressive are weird, nonsensical, wacky, et cetera most of the time so it is a bit like Batman Ninja but more creative but mostly pointless just like that movie in my opinion; but fortunately both seasons are only 6 episodes each, and so that makes it bearable even if you hate it.
