What is it about?
This is how FX Networks describes this television show:

After the nuclear apocalypse, the world’s chosen elite survive in secure Outposts created by the mysterious Cooperative.
On the American West Coast, Ms. Wilhemina Venable (Sarah Paulson) and Ms. Miriam Mead (Kathy Bates) run Outpost Three with an iron fist.
The unexpected arrival of Michael Langdon (Cody Fern), a Cooperative representative determined to save society with a secret paradise, throws their order into chaos.
However, underneath the surface of humanity’s salvation lies a battlefield for the final conflict between good and evil.

Final Thoughts
This season had a good start, had a lot of potential, brought back some characters that we have not seen in a long time, had some good chemistry between some characters, but I was a bit disappointed with this season and it was not as good as I had hoped and the last episode was a letdown and felt rushed and incomplete; and so overall this season ended up feeling more average and more forgettable and less epic in some ways than it should have in my opinion.
Also there was a bit of women versus men in this season that felt a bit off, unnecessary, sexist, backward, et cetera that was a bit disappointing.
The end,
