A Family Gathering And A Corpse And Shadow Moon

Source: IMDb

This dream is unclear and involved at least three different parts that the dream possibly jumped between, and so the dream possibly took place during the morning and late afternoon and evening.

One part of the dream involved being in the yard of The E House, a second part of the dream involved the character Shadow Moon from the television show American Gods, and a third part of the dream involved shopping at a grocery store that was possibly near the yard of The E House.

The early part of the dream that took place at the yard of The E House involved me being there maybe in the morning, I remember checking the mail and newspaper and phone book in the front yard, and moving what I found under the entrance-way of the front door.

Some of my family slowly started showing up like a family gathering was going to take place, I was in the backyard with someone when maybe we got attacked by a man who was possibly working for a mafia or something (maybe a hitman), but I can not remember; I just remember that there was a dead body, I assume we killed the person who tried to kill us, and then we tried to hide the body so that our family members would not see it.

We were going to take the body away but too many family members had arrived for the gathering, and so we hid the corpse near the chicken coop that looked different than in real life and this area was larger and slightly different.

We were probably afraid what would happen if anyone found out what happened to the assumed mafia hitman who tried to kill us, I assume we were afraid what the assumed mafia would do, and maybe if the police would even believe us so getting rid of the body was the option that we decided to go with.

We decided to hide the body first, and then get rid of it when there was no one around.

Another part of the dream involved Shadow Moon and possibly things involving American Gods and a few other things, Shadow Moon possibly moved between wherever he was and maybe the grocery store and maybe even the yard of The E House, but I can not remember.

The last part of the dream involved shopping at a grocery store that was possibly near or connected to the yard of The E House, I went there along with someone else, and maybe Shadow Moon was there shopping too.

The dream probably jumped between the parts with me and the parts with Shadow Moon, and maybe the parts where we happen to be in the same area.

But that is all that I can remember of this dream.

The end,

When Shadow Moon is released from prison, he meets the mysterious Mr. Wednesday and a storm begins to brew.

Little does Shadow know, this storm will change the course of his entire life.

Left adrift by the recent, tragic death of his wife, and suddenly hired as Mr. Wednesday’s bodyguard, Shadow finds himself in the center of a world that he struggles to understand.

It’s a world where magic is real, where the Old Gods fear both irrelevance and the growing power of the New Gods, like Technology and Media. Mr. Wednesday seeks to build a coalition of Old Gods to defend their existence in this new America, and reclaim some of the influence that they’ve lost.

As Shadow travels across the country with Mr. Wednesday, he struggles to accept this new reality, and his place in it.

This is how Fandom describes this scene:

Salim is a young Muslim man selling trinkets and souvenirs for his brother-in-law.

He sits all day long at a company called Panglobal, waiting to meet with Mr. Blanding who never shows.

He asks if he can make an appointment for tomorrow, and the assistant tells him he has to phone for appointments.

He walks out into the night rain and hails a cab, giving directions to his hotel.

The taxi driver speaks Arabic, and they discuss Oman, where Salim is from, chatting about the Lost City of Towers, which vanished thousands of years prior.

The taxi driver apologizes as he has been driving for 30 hours straight, and Salim tells him about how he just arrived in America a week ago and is selling worthless trinkets to people who won’t see him.

They get stuck in traffic and the taxi driver falls asleep.

Salim reaches over the seat and gently rests his hand on his shoulder to wake him.

The taxi driver awakens, and Salim catches a glimpse of fiery eyes in the rearview mirror.

Salim recognizes him as an ifrit, a person of the fire that his grandmother once told him about.

The Jinn tells him that he does not grant wishes and his life has been reduced to this terrible job as a taxi driver.

Salim reaches over to once again touch his shoulder in comfort.

The Jinn caresses his hand in return.
