BlakTai – Skin

Source: YouTube

Today’s song is the song Skin by the downtempo band BlakTai.

I first heard this song on the YouTube Music radio station for Pauline Croze (who is my current favorite musician, and has been since maybe 2007).

This is a nice smooth song that instantly brought back some feelings and almost some memories that I can not quite access / remember, this song reminds me of some things from my past like a trip that my mom and I once went on to visit my uncle ME back when I was kid and when he was still in college at the University Of LL, and it reminds me of another song and / or of another musician and / or another band but I can not remember which song and / or which musician and / or which band (it is on the edge of my mind, but I can not remember or access it).

This song creates its own smooth atmosphere that takes me back to another time and place, I can not quite pinpoint / identify the time and place though, maybe during some time and place in the early-to-mid 1990s or late 1980s but I am not sure.

I can imagine driving down a road / highway during late in the afternoon or early evening or even at night on the way to and / or through and / or from the city of L with maybe a somewhat red / orange color to the sky, and I can also imagine listening to this song during those same times on my way back from the city of LC alone; and I can imagine listening to this song during those times inside a cabin or beach house with a nice view to the outside.

This is a nice song that I hope more people will get a chance to listen to, and I am glad that I found it; I like finding new songs that are worth listening to.

I recommend checking out a post about this song called BlakTai: Skin Single Review that I found when I was trying to find the lyrics for this song (I still have not found the lyrics though).

  1. Thanks for sharing. I completely agree with your statement here: This song creates its own smooth atmosphere that takes me back to another time and place, I can not quite pinpoint / identify the time and place though, maybe during some time and place in the early-to-mid 1990s or late 1980s but I am not sure.
