My Thoughts
As some of you may know this show has taken over my dreams, I have probably had a Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina inspired dream every night since I started watching it, even last night at least one of my dreams was inspired by it.
Years ago I used to watch the television show Sabrina The Teenage Witch, and so when I heard that there was going to be a new and grimmer version I was curious to at least give it a try.
After my brother GC and I finished watching the television show The Order (Season 1), I decided to watch this, and my brother GC watched it with me as well.
We both liked this better than The Order, this show was better than we had expected, and it is one of my favorites of the year so far.
Kiernan Shipka gave a standout performance as Sabrina Spellman, she was my favorite character and I liked this actress’s performance: her acting, her style, her look, her personality, her voice, her accent, her intelligence, her independence, her critical thought, her confidence, her desire to try to do what is right, her wit, et cetera all brought this character to life in a way that made her one of my favorite characters of all-time and even an inspiration for the real world with some traits that I wish that I had and / or that I wish that I could improve.
I am definitely curious to see Ms. Shipka get more acting roles in the future.
Our least favorite episode was Episode 11 (Chapter Eleven: A Midwinter’s Tale), they should not have ended this season on that episode, Episode 10 should have been moved at the very end instead of this.
We watched most of the episodes at night before going to sleep, I think that this really enhanced the viewing experience because this show is literally dark, and the mood / environment fits late viewing better in my opinion; and this is probably part of the reason why I keep having dreams inspired by this show.
We almost did not watch this show, I almost forgot about it, but I am glad that I remembered it and that we decided to give it a chance because it was worth watching.
I look forward to Part 2 (Season 2), which is out, and I will probably start it today.
