Initially, things are pretty grim.
He’s blind, deaf, and weak.
But by combining his two special abilities, “Predator” and “Great Sage,” the newly named, Rimuru Tempest, will use his blobby powers to gain both friends and foes alike in a diverse new world.
My Thoughts
This anime (animated) television show had a good start and the world building, literally at times in a way, started better than the anime (animated) television show Overlord.
But it started to slow down too much at some point, more than Overlord (Season 1), and I stopped liking it as much at that point; and it was not as good as Overlord at that point, but the fights and some other elements were better than Overlord.
Early on, I liked how the main character was using diplomacy et cetera to help him build things up, and I liked how he was using his abilities to get more powerful.
But at some point he stopped building and using his abilities as much, which was a bit frustrating watching him pass many opportunities to: gain new abilities, become more powerful, build more, make more allies, help others, understand the world more, et cetera.
I do not like how they ended this season, it seems that they may have lost their way and were kind of wasting time like the anime television show Goblin Slayer at some point.
I hope that this is corrected in the next season so that the show can get back on track like the better earlier parts of the season.
