What is it?
The 2018 Japanese badminton anime television show Hanebado! (Hanebado: The Badminton Play Of Ayano Hanesaki!).
What is it about?
This is how Funimation describes this anime television show:
Despite her great potential, Ayano Hanesaki would rather avoid badminton than play it.
But when she meets Nagisa Aragaki, a third year who spends every waking moment perfecting her game, she’s inspired.
Encouraged by their coach, Tachibana Kentarou, Ayano and Nagisa will hit the court and rally against rivals with amazing skills!
Final Thoughts
I found out about this anime on YouTube last year, but it took me until yesterday to finally finish it because I just was not into it so I had to force myself to finally finish it because I watched some episodes last year but I stopped watching it until I finally finished it this year.
This anime has some good animation for the sports action, it is surprisingly and overly dramatic, but it just did not connect with me or catch my interest; and the ending was rushed and skipped over too many things with too positive of an ending.
This anime was surprisingly realistic with the way that it approached badminton, I do not often say or think this, but in this case I think that this show would have been better if it had been less realistic and had gone for a more over-the-top action approach.
Finishing this anime was not easy for me, but I am glad that I finally finished it at least even if I did not care for it which is disappointing because I thought that I would like this show better than I did.
The end,

Sounds like I enjoyed the series more than you did. One thing that I didn’t like about the drama was that characters would change personality radically without reason. Maybe if the season was longer it would have felt less rushed?

Hello The Otaku Judge,
I am glad that you got more enjoyment out of it than I did, I am surprised that I did not like it as much as I thought that I would, and I agree with you about the sudden and dramatic personality change issue.
Thank you for stopping by and commenting, and I am glad that you are still blogging.
