My Thoughts
I liked this movie better than some people, and I did not dislike Brie Larson; but there was some stiffness in her performance.
I liked this movie better during the earlier parts, maybe a 6 out of 10, then it became a 5.5 out of 10, then it became a 5.0 out of 10 at the end; but I would rate the movie overall as a 5.5 out of 10.
This movie played it pretty safe, it was not great, but it was not bad, my brother GC and I watched it over the course of three days in parts.
It was pretty forgettable for me, though, and we did not talk about it much at all afterward.
My brother GC described this movie as feeling longer than it should have been, while somehow also feeling rushed and like not much happened.

Maybe you liked the movie less as it went belong because she becomes to powerful? It’s tough to get invested in the final battle when she can beat a fleet of ships so easily.

Hello The Otaku Judge,
That jump in power level was drastic, but my brother GC said that it just felt like not enough had happened even though the movie was not short and it felt more average as it went on; and I think that left us liking it less as it went on, I guess they played it too safe, and so it did not stand out as much at that point.
