Looking For Boat Noodles In Thailand?

All that I can remember of this dream is that I was watching a travel documentary or a travel show that seemed to be taking place in Thailand.

I remember them being inside a market/grocery store/mall-like place that had a variety of businesses that mostly seemed to be food businesses, including booths/stands/tables selling food, and I remember them mentioning and showing several popular food dishes in the country.

One was boat noodles, another was some kind of dumplings, and the third was calamari (squid) and/or octopus.

I wanted to try those food dishes, the next thing that I remember is that I seemed to be in maybe Thailand, and I was walking inside a building when I realized that it was the same building from that travel show or travel documentary.

I also recognized this place from some images online and/or online videos and/or somewhere else.

I wanted to try boat noodles and the other two food dishes, and so I walked around trying to find a buffet.

As I was passing a grocery store-like area I noticed an old assumed Thai woman sitting at a table selling boat noodles, and so I stopped to buy some.

The woman did not speak much English so we did not say that much to each other other than a few words in English and maybe she said only a few words in her language, I showed her some money that I had (maybe $5), and I asked to buy some boat noodles and I pointed at the food that she was selling and/or her menu.

She pulled out a notepad and something else as she tried to see how much money that was in her country’s currency, she told me how much and that for some more money that I could buy some dumplings and a larger portion of boat noodles (maybe $5 – $20), and so I gave her some money.

As she prepared the food I felt that I probably should have kept looking for a buffet because I could have gotten more food, possibly all the dishes that I wanted to try and more for cheaper, but I decided to support this local business/old woman.

After this I planned on eating and then continuing my search for a buffet, but I woke up as I thought about this while the woman prepared my food.

The end,
