The 2019 comedy science fiction anthology web TV show Weird City (Season 1).

What is it about?

This is how Wikipedia describes this anthology web television show:

Weird City is set in the near future in the city of Weird, which has been physically divided into two halves and segregated by economic class: Above The Line, populated by Haves, and Below The Line, populated by Have-Nots.

Each episode follows different individuals as they navigate life in the city.[1]

My Thoughts

I found out about this anthology web TV show by accident when I saw the thumbnail for it on a streaming video website, I did not even watch a trailer for it, and I decided to watch the first episode because it was an anthology show.

To the surprise of my brother GC and I this show had a better start than we had expected, the first two episodes were our favorites, but the third episode and the last episode were the worst episodes; and the other two episodes were in-between those episodes.

The last episode was probably the worst ending to a TV show this year, it basically used the last episode of The Twilight Zone (2019) as inspiration, and it did things even worse than that bad episode.

This show was like a more comedic and more light-hearted lower budget Black Mirror, it was better than expected, but it was very uneven.

I am surprised that no one I know even mentioned this show, especially because it is a YouTube Originals/YouTube Premium TV show, I guess the advertising for this was terrible or something because I am on YouTube pretty much everyday and never saw advertising for this.

The end,
