What is it?
The song King Of The Mat by the musician Vada from the 2005 video game WWE SmackDown! Vs. Raw 2006.
What is it about?
[Intro]
Yuh, where you at? Where you at?
I’m the king of this mat
What up? Where you at? What up? Where you at?
I’m the king of this mat
What up? Where you at? (What up?) Where you at? (Yeah)[Verse 1]
Yo, I rock the South Bay to LA, from NY to Texas
You seein’ who the best is, homie now check your records
I’m reckless, you better call the EMU
These rappers gettin’ played, like a, played like a yo-yo
I’m dedicated, my rise premeditated
I’m heavy-weighted, the best be demonstrated by the forces
Of forty horses, awesome portrait
Light the torches
I’m living lawless, I’m flawless
I’m raw, kid, like WWE
Y’all don’t want trouble with me
A day out and rumble with me
I’ll pummel your team, I’m hotter than steam
So fresh so clean, I’m over so you know what I mean
Untouchable, tight with my fams like the Huxtables
Quick to treat a rapper like ham out the lunchables
No one can stop me, dawg, no one can top me
Big V, crossin’ more checks than Hockey[Hook 1]
What up? Where you at? What up? Where you at?
The world is my ring, I’m the king of this mat
What up? (Yo) Where you at? What up? (Yeah) Where you at? (Yeah)
The world is my ring (Yo) I’m the king (Yo) of this mat[Verse 2]
Yo, I’m a dentist, no I’m a chiropractor
Time to take your spine out with a spiral jackhammer
Analyze the parasite, war vessels poppin’
Brain tissue targeted, Vada bombardin’ it
Watch out, faded in the trick box surprising
GP shy like the sun on the horizon
I’m sick, I’m deeper than a pitch black hole
When you wack rappers gone ditch that flow?
I’ll introduce ya, remind yourself
It’s a computer digital master
Memory stored it’s [?] finger taps
Muderize keyboard stats
Call me your B-boy, breaking rappers, destroying rappers’ raps
Deploy the heat seeker, you’re only getting weaker
Quick behind display, ty-bomb’s out your speaker
No danger stranger, you sick, we off the hanger
Bang after banger, it’s dead, we’re rival lakers[Hook 2]
What up? Where you at? What up? Where you at?
The world is my ring, I’m the king of this mat (What up?)
What up? Where you at? (What up?) What up? Where you at? (Where you at?)
The world is my ring I’m the king of this mat[Verse 3]
Yo, my fighting skills are designed to kill
Any fighter who’s thinking that he’s kinda ill
‘Cause when it comes to fights, bro your luck is bad
So I’m puttin’ all your other stuff in bags
This is my ring, you ain’t touchin’ my rope
At the spur of the moment, you’re next to get choked, so
Pass the belt I’m in the greedy phase
Yo, these teams gonna see me with they 3D shades
Go ahead and get your squad, homie you’re passed that
I’m known as “smash backs” when I’m having the grand batch
I’m on my last track, I can finish my last lap
My rap like the prepay, send it for cash back
I’m ’bout the double dough, big bills like Buffalo
I got another flow, your whole squad’s in trouble, bro
So sit back as I I slay these fools
And brake your whole crew like I break the rules, it’s like…[Hook 3]
What up? Where you at? What up? Where you at?
The world is my ring, I’m the king of this mat
What up? Where you at? What up? Where you at?
The world is my ring I’m the king of this mat
What up? Where you at? What up? Where you at?
The world is my ring, I’m the king of this mat
What up? Where you at? What up? Where you at?
The world is my ring, I’m the king of this mat
My Thoughts
I first heard this song years ago when my brothers, my classmates / friends, some of my other family members, and I played the video game WWE SmackDown! Vs. Raw 2006 on PlayStation 2.
It was a song that worked especially well as an entrance theme for heel characters, heel tag teams, et cetera in that video game; and it was a pretty good song in general in my opinion that set the mood for this video game.
I think that it makes for a great entrance theme for fighters and other types of athletes.
Yesterday I was listening to music outside when this song started playing in my random shuffle, it worked well at that moment, and I listened to it several times in a row; and I decided to make a post about it.
The end,
