What is it?
The 2019 Japanese anime (animated) TV show Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba Season 1.
What is it about?
This is how Fandom describes this anime (animated) TV show:
Since ancient times, rumors have abounded of man-eating Demons lurking in the woods.
Because of this, the local townsfolk never venture outside at night.
Legend has it that a Demon Slayer also roams the night, hunting down these bloodthirsty Demons.
For young Tanjiro Kamado, these rumors will soon to become his harsh reality.
Ever since the death of his father, Tanjiro has taken it upon himself to support his family.
Although their lives may be hardened by tragedy, they’ve found happiness.
But that ephemeral warmth is shattered one day when Tanjiro finds his family slaughtered and the lone survivor, his sister Nezuko Kamado, turned into a Demon.
To his surprise, however, Nezuko still shows signs of human emotion and thought.
Thus begins Tanjiro’s journey to seek out the Demon who killed their family and turn his sister human again.
My Thoughts
This was the most disappointing anime of last year that I started watching and my least favorite anime this year, it was over-hyped and I had higher hopes for it, but my brother GC and I did not like it.
This show had potential to be good if they would have kept a more serious and surreal and quiet and artistic and horror tone to it and the animation.
To us this show just annoyed us and wasted our time most of the time except for some of the action scenes and some of the emotional moments and some of the personality of the main character, and so besides those few good things we could not wait for this show to end which is sad because I had expected to like it.
This show ended up being the worse show in the current Toonami lineup in my opinion, and I can not believe that it won or was nominated for several awards for the best anime of the year et cetera.
The end,

I reviewed this show on my blog and was just as disappointed as you are. The animation is pretty much the only aspect it really excels at.
