What is it?
The 2020 American science fiction drama TV show Raised By Wolves (Season 1).
Here is how The IMDb describes this TV show:
After Earth is torn apart by religious differences and the human race teeters on the edge of extinction, an atheistic android architect sends two creations – Mother and Father – to start a peaceful, godless colony on the planet Kepler-22b. From executive producer Ridley Scott, Raised By Wolves follows Mother and Father as they attempt to raise human children in this mysterious virgin land – a treacherous and difficult task that’s jeopardized by the arrival of the Mithraic, a deeply devout religious order of surviving humans. As the androids make contact with this zealous and dangerous people, they struggle to control the beliefs of their fiercely self-determining children.

My Thoughts
The trailer for this looked interesting so my brother GC and I decided to give it a chance, this show was more contained than we had expected, but it was not bad.
When we both first saw the title for this show, I was expecting that it might involve werewolves, but after seeing the trailer, it was pretty clear that was not likely the case.
This TV show surprised us, we were expecting something different in regard to the religious versus atheists plot, but this show went in a different and surprising direction with that.
The atmosphere for this show was pretty good, too barren though, I liked the androids, the acting was pretty good, but there was less futuristic technology than there should have been which hurt the show and some of its believably in my opinion.
A lot happened in the first episode or two, but unfortunately the show slowed down and kind of lost its way, and it did not use that time to explain more of the lore unfortunately; and so it leaves the audience a little confused and with questions on various basic things, which is unfortunate.
We still liked this show better than Lost In Space (Season 1), but we did not like how this season ended; and we have no idea where they are going with this show, and I wonder if the creators even know where they are going with this show. 😀
It is still worth watching though, I thought that the combat abilities of the android Mother was impressive and scary.
I think that Amanda Collin did a great job as that character with a standout performance and interesting appearance and a good android style of speaking.
One of the standout horror action scenes showing off Mother’s scary overpowered abilities is this one, which some people have compared to being like something from the anime Elfen Lied.
I hope that this show will get back on course in the next season, and I hope that they will explain more about the lore.
