Superheroes & An Author In The Computer Lab

This dream was partly inspired by me watching the last episode of the TV show The Boys (Season 2) before I went to sleep.

Part of a forgotten part of this dream involved superheroes and maybe characters from The Boys, but I can not remember the details.

The end of the dream took place at The BP Library, I was there working in the computer lab closer to The AV Desk, and our library had a superhero theme going on that I assume was connected with that being our current theme for this Halloween and / or it was connected to The Boys.

I remember a thin older male author with light-color skin sleeping in the computer lab at a computer across from where I was, and he woke up mumbling and complaining to himself as he grabbed a piece of paper and walked to the printer as I followed him to see if he needed something.

He reached his hands in his pants to scratch or wipe his butt with the piece of paper, and so I probably tried to hand him a napkin or tissue as I asked him if he was okay.

He mumbled something and asked for a piece of paper as he walked back to the computer, I went to a fictional printer at the front of The AV desk to grab a blank sheet of paper from it, but the first paper or two had something superhero related printed on it.

I think that it involved Queen Maeve’s shoulder pads and knee pads like it was something that children et cetera could use to help them make a costume, I assumed that this was for our library’s Halloween event / theme, and under that was two or three more work related papers with signatures of some of my coworkers on them like.

The author was in a hurry so I grabbed one of the Halloween papers and I gave the blank side to the author, and he started writing something on it; but that is all that I can remember of this dream.

The end,

Haha, how interesting! Curious: does your library allow patrons to fall asleep? I know the library system I briefly worked for had a policy against sleeping and asked staff to wake any sleeping patrons up. It’s to ensure that nobody’s passed out (from overdose or other medical problems), but I’ve always found the rule harsh!

Hello Moya,

That is a good question that I do not think has an official policy, I could be wrong, as far as I know it is allowed; but we can check to make sure that the person is okay.

That is a tough one, I can understand their concern, something like that happened once where I was not sure if the person was okay or not, but it also seems a bit harsh.

Thank you for commenting,
