What is it?
The 2019 Hulu American horror anthology web television show Into The Dark (Season 2).
What is it about?
This is how The IMDb describes this anthology TV show:
A horror anthology series, with each episode inspired by a holiday.
My Thoughts
This season was worse than the previous season, which was disappointing, and I am now worried about this show’s future.
Here are my thoughts for each episode:
This episode was not terrible but it had more potential, Annie and one of the other entities looked and acted terrible and more goofy than scary, and the male death count is the usual ridiculous amount for most of this series so far and is so bad that even I have noticed the pattern now and so basically it feels like a lot of this series is a bit of a kill all / most men / males fantasy.
2. Pilgrim
This episode was better than the previous episode, the daughter was kind of annoying though, this episode had me wondering what direction they would go with this, and a variety of unbelievable moments happened as things escalated very quickly and crazily.
This was the best episode of the season so far, I did not expect to like it at all, but to my surprise it had various surprises; and it managed to end in a creative way that still followed the usual Into The Dark formula, but in a better way.
This was the worst episode of the entire series so far, it was too long, too annoying, too unrelatable, too much unnecessary sexuality and nudity and sex et cetera, too little plot, too little horror, and it was the worst episode of TV that I saw all year.
5. My Valentine
When I saw the trailer for this episode I was not impressed and expected to hate it, fortunately it was not as bad as I had expected, and I did not hate it.
While I did not exactly like it, it did somehow work pretty well by having a charismatic and crazy villain who was a bit over-the-top in some ways but it worked, and I think that he did a good job.
6. Crawlers
Like the previous episode, when I saw the trailer for this I did not like it and I expected to hate this episode, but once again I fortunately did not hate it.
This episode was like a modern update on the old hidden creature/alien invasion type movie, unfortunately it did not live up to its true potential, and they wasted too much time and the threat was lower than it should have been.
7. Pooka Lives!
My brother GC & I did not like this one as much as the Pooka episode from the previous season.
8. Delivered
I think that the actress playing the villain did a pretty good job, it was good to see her in another role again, and hopefully she will be in some more TV shows & movies in the future.
9. Good Boy
I can not remember what my brother GC & I thought about this episode, maybe we were somewhat disappointed, there were some things that I liked about the main actress though, but there were some problems with her character.
A certain actor had a role in this episode to the surprise of my brother GC & I, it was good to see him getting some work, this episode was not bad, but it was confusing in some ways I think.
11. Tentacles
While this was better than Midnight Kiss, it too had some unnecessary sexual content, well it made a bit more sense than Midnight Kiss in that regard, but it hurt this episode in my opinion; but this episode was not bad like Midnight Kiss, fortunately, but it could have been better though.
12. Blood Moon
This episode was a slow burn with minimal characters or effects, to my surprise that did not bother my brother GC & I, it actually kept our attention with the mystery, but we did not like the reveal at the end & how it ended.
The end,
