What is it?
The 2020 Netflix American action-thriller movie Extraction.
This is how The IMDb describes this movie:
Tyler Rake, a fearless black market mercenary, embarks on the most deadly extraction of his career when he’s enlisted to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord.
In an underworld of weapons dealers and traffickers, a young boy becomes the pawn in a war between notorious drug lords. Trapped by kidnappers inside one of the world’s most impenetrable cities, his rescue beckons the unparalleled skill of a mercenary named Tyler Rake, but Rake is a broken man with nothing to lose, harboring a death wish that makes an already deadly mission near impossible.

My Thoughts
Like the movie John Wick, this movie did not connect with me as much as I had expected, but like John Wick it has great practical action & great stunt work; and I think that India was a great choice as a film location.
Unlike John Wick, this movie did have one or two emotional scenes that did connect with me, but for some reason both of these movies felt more empty to me than they should have.
Both films handled the action well, but they both lacked certain things that would have made them more balanced as movies.
The standout performances in this movie for me were by Randeep Hooda, Golshifteh Farahani, and Chris Hemsworth.
I still recommend watching both of these movies at least once, though.
