The end of this dream took place inside a house-like building, I was protecting / babysitting / whatever some children, including some non-human humanoid children who were smaller than humans (I can not remember what they looked like though, and I can not remember if there were more than one species of them or not).
I assume that there must have been some kind of threat, I can not remember what though, I probably did not know the children & I probably found them by accident, but I can not remember; and at some point I needed to temporarily leave them alone.
I left the oldest children in charge while I was gone, I took them to a safe room & area inside the house-like building, and let them hide there while I left temporarily.
I am not sure if I was going to clear more parts of the building or where I was going temporarily, but I do know that the older children were very responsible & capable.
I woke up as I left the children.
