What is it?
The 2006 coffee-flavored soft drink (soda) Coca-Cola BlāK (Coca-Cola Blak).
My Thoughts
I am the only person I know that got to try this soda back in 2006.
I tried it at McNeese State University, it was on sale in one of the college stores in the main food court at the end of the semester, and so I bought it.
I think that it was mid or almost late afternoon when I bought it, I remember the food court being quieter, and I was shopping alone.
To me, it seemed like a soda that I could imagine being more popular in Europe, I assumed that it was meant for a more European market, and so I was glad to have the chance to try a unique flavor of soda that I would possibly never get to try again.
It was an interesting taste, there was a bit of a coffee taste & a more rich & sweet cola soda taste if I remember correctly, it was one of those things that you have to slowly sip a few times to adjust to it, but I remember thinking that it tasted better than I had expected.
It is probably something that would be more of an acquired taste, and a drink that the mainstream would not like as much as I did.
Unfortunately, I probably bought the last one or ones that were available, and I never saw this soda again after that.
