What Is It?
The 2008 romantic drama film Revolutionary Road.
Here is how The IMDb describes this movie:
A young couple living in a Connecticut suburb during the mid-1950s struggle to come to terms with their personal problems while trying to raise their two children.
My Thoughts
I am the only person I know who saw this movie & I have not heard anyone talk about it.
I saw this movie years ago in a movie theater in the city of LC when it came out.
At the time, I was trying to make a return to college, I went to the city of LC with the plan to get an apartment & sign-up for college at the S Technical Community College.
I signed up for an apartment, but the woman who worked the front desk was so unprofessional & mean & nasty toward me that it angered me so much that I got my money back & I decided that I would drive to the city of L & try to go to college there instead.
That moment was a big moment that changed the course of my life, in a bad way, if I had continued with my original plan to attend the college in the city of LC, I would have probably graduated, even if I would have had to drive back & forth from home each day.
Before leaving the city, I was in a bad mood & I went to several places trying to decide what to do, I got something to eat, I had a headache, and I went to watch Revolutionary Road at the Cinemark movie theater at the mall while I still had a headache & was still in a bad mood.
The mood of this movie ended up matching my negative mood, I could relate to some of it, but I do remember noticing how undiverse this movie & the city that this movie took place in were.
I possibly did not even see anyone with a tan in this movie, and I think that there was an unintentionally funny super short fully clothed sex scene if I am not mistaken.
I think that I remember this movie having some good performances, I think that I liked Kate Winslet’s & Leonardo DiCaprio’s performances, and this movie gave the audience something to think about when it comes to relationships & marriage & work & careers & life & hopes & goals et cetera.
I wish that I would not have allowed one terrible employee to help shape my future for the worst back then.
I ended up having to face a few aspects of this movie in my own life.
I do need to see this movie again one day because of the terrible circumstances back when I saw it.
Anyway, it is cool to have a movie tied to some memories of an important event in your life, that makes them more special.
The end,
