The 2021 Adult Swim & Crunchyroll Japanese & American anime (animated) TV show Blade Runner: Black Lotus Review.

Los Angeles 2032. A young woman wakes up with no memories, and possessing deadly skills. The only clues to her mystery are a locked data device and a tattoo of a black lotus. Putting together the pieces, she must hunt down the people responsible for her brutal and bloody past to find the truth of her lost identity.
My Thoughts
This was the worst animated thing in the Blade Runner franchise & the worst thing in the franchise in my opinion & the opinion of my brother GC.
It is a shame that Blade Runner has better animated shorts & live action shorts, yet they chose to make this, the worst, into a full TV series, when they had much better things to make a full series or miniseries or movie.
This show looked like it possibly had the same terrible animation & studio (Sola Digital Arts) that destroyed the Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex series with the terrible Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045 (please do not watch that, but do watch the first two seasons of Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex because the first two seasons are great).
This animation for this show was not good, except for the backgrounds & some objects, those were amazing, but the characters & movements were more like plastic toys & stiff & awkward & not good most of the time; well some of the action looked alright.
I hope that Sola Digital Arts will no longer be allowed to work on anime like this until they improve their animation & style, their CGI & style is not up to standards, I imagine they work hard, but what they are doing now is not working & is destroying anime in my opinion.
I would not recommend this show to anyone, the intro / beginning credits for this show has good visuals & music, so watch the intro & maybe look at some of the good backgrounds:
While the background world looks good, the world in this show was mostly empty, just like in the previously mentioned show by Sola Digital Arts.
This show was also longer than it should have been, the story did not make much sense in some ways, and in the end the story was mostly pointless in my opinion.
Adult Swim & Crunchyroll need to do better & choose better studios to work with, my brother GC & I watch most of our anime through the Toonami block on Cartoon Network, which is how we watched this show.
I would rate this show a 2 out of 5, so far these Americanized anime have been disappointing, which is not surprising.
