My Thoughts
I somewhat hated Ghost In The Shell: SAC_2045 (Season 1), the CGI was terrible, except for the backgrounds, and it was Americanized in a bad way with Section 9 not even acting like themselves at times; I did not consider it canon, and I mostly tried to forget that it existed.
So, I was definitely not looking forward to this season, especially with them deciding to keep the bad CGI by the current worst Japanese animation (anime) studio in my opinion, which is Sola Digital Arts.
I started this season still disgusted with the CGI, it was a little better though, and surprisingly I mostly adjusted to it during the first episode as the improved story of this season distracted me from it enough.
This season is absolutely better than season 1, and it reminds me of Ghost In The Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG, which is still the best of the animated Ghost In Shell TV shows so far; so do watch Ghost In The Shell: S.A.C. 2nd GIG if you get a chance.
This season had a better story, was less goofy & annoying, was less Americanized, was more emotional, and Section 9 acted more like themselves; and it had better opening credits musically & visually:
If only they had not used that Sola Digital Arts CGI that does not fit Ghost In The Shell as good as the original animation styles.
This season was watchable, it was actually good at times, and I did not hate it.
The ending was a little rushed and confusing, I am not exactly sure what happened at the end exactly for sure.
I would rate this season a 3 – 3.5 out of 5.
The end,
