Everything Everywhere All At Once & Duìbùqǐ 对不起 對不起

How to say “Sorry” in Chinese | How To Say Series | ChinesePod

This dream was inspired by my brother GC and I watching the movie Everything Everywhere All At Once before I went to sleep.

Unfortunately, I can not remember most of this dream.

I do know that part of the dream involved me trying to figure out how to describe this movie to people; and another part of this dream involved me trying to be in more than one place at one time, and trying to jump back & forth between different dimensions / universes / time periods / et cetera.

During the parts of the dream that involved me trying to figure out how to describe Everything Everywhere All At Once, I remember having the idea to use the movie trailer, a movie featurette, and maybe another video to help me explain it to someone.

My plan was to break up the explanation into at least three parts, with one video in each part along with my descriptions; the movie trailer in part one, the movie featurette in part two, and the last video in part three.

I tried to map out the plan in my mind and I remember visualizing, and practicing what-if scenarios; but that is all that I can remember of this part of the dream.

The last part of the dream involved me trying to jump back & forth between different dimensions / universes / time periods / et cetera.

I am not sure if I was jumping into other versions of myself or not.

I just remember imagining another dimension / whatever that I was in.

Likewise, I imagined being in both dimensions / whatever at the same time, and it worked.

I was partly in both dimensions / whatever.

Then I tried to jump back and forth between them, and that worked.

I tried to visualize a grid / map showing several dimensions / et cetera, I tried jumping between them, and that worked.

But I am not sure if I tried to be in all the dimensions / whatever at the same time or not.

As I was waking up, in my mind, I heard the Mandarin word / phrase for how to say sorry / I am sorry / pardon me: Duìbùqǐ 对不起 對不起.

I have no idea why this came to my mind other than me having heard some Mandarin and / or Cantonese in that movie; and Duìbùqǐ 对不起 對不起 is the first word / phrase that I heard over a month ago in lesson 1 of the Pimsleur Chinese (Mandarin): The Short Course (which is the only lesson that I listened to).

That is pretty cool, it almost makes me want to continue that course, or a language.

The end,
