What Is It?
The 2020 Japanese anime movie Made In Abyss: Dawn Of The Deep Soul.
Here is how Madman describes this anime movie:
Dawn of the Deep Soul continues the epic adventures of young explorers Riko and Reg, who are joined by their new friend Nanachi as they descend into the Abyss’ treacherous fifth layer, the Sea of Corpses.
There they encounter the mysterious Bondrewd, a legendary White Whistle whose shadow looms over Nanachi’s troubled past.
Although Bondrewd is ingratiatingly hospitable and the trio soon becomes fast friends with his gregarious daughter, Prushka, the brave adventurers know things are not always as they seem in the enigmatic Abyss…
Miyu Tomita (The Magnificent KOTOBUKI), Mariya Ise (The Promised Neverland) and Shiori Izawa (Sword Art Online) reprise their roles as Riko, Reg and Nanachi, respectively.
In addition, Australian composer Kevin Penkin (Norn9) returns to craft the film’s all-new, critically lauded score.
This is possibly the best anime movie that my brother GC and I have seen this year so far, and it almost made me cry.
Parts of this movie might break you, it has great action, suspense, emotion, heart, and a villain named Bondrewd who you want to see die & a villain who you want to kill.
Bondrewd is an amazing villain, I straight up hate this man, he is a villain who can bother you so much, that you want to enter the movie to fight / kill him yourself to protect children & the world from him.
He is a burn it with fire and destroy the ashes level villain, but he is also a villain who will surprise & terrify & disgust you as well.
I definitely recommend watching this movie, just be ready for some pain, and to see children in situations that they should never have to deal with.
Bondrewd is a villain that I want to face in a dream / nightmare one day, this man needs to be stopped permanently.
