A Caricature Of John Jr By D3wey (Dewey) Caricatures

Today at The BP Library where I work there was an event, and one of the things that you could do at the event was have a caricature drawn of you by the artist D3wey (Dewey) Caricatures for free; and Mr. Dewey was kind enough to draw a quick caricature of me when I stopped working for a moment to have one drawn.

My scan of the drawing above did not turn out as well as the drawing itself unfortunately, so the image above does not do the drawing justice, but Mr. Dewey did a pretty good job on the drawing so thank you Mr. Dewey.

I have probably been curious about having myself drawn for years now, and so I finally got the chance so thank you Mr. Dewey for making that wish come true and for being a part of the library event today and keep up the good work because we need more artists out there in our community doing things like this. 🙂

D3wey (Dewey) Caricatures has a Facebook Page and an Instagram Page where you can check out some of his work and he also accepts requests that you can pay for online:

My Former Classmate SB Working As An Artist And Now Looks A Bit Like Benedict Cumberbatch

Source: Wikimedia Commons

I had several dreams last night but I forgot them all except for barely part of the end of my last dream, and I did not voice record any of my dreams from last night.

There was more that happened in the dream that I can not remember where I think that I traveled with my parents’ and/or several other people during the day to several fictional locations, and several other things happened that I can not remember.

At some point we went inside a building with maybe carpeted floors with various hallways and rooms where people could open small businesses/shops/et cetera, and we walked around exploring/shopping.

At some point we entered a room that possibly had one or more windows and maybe a door to an outdoor maybe courtyard-like area, and in this room we saw various paintings and other forms of art.

Standing in the room was a tall somewhat serious man dressed in painting-like clothes with maybe a painter’s hat to protect his hair who looked a bit like the actor Benedict Cumberbatch, he was the one who made all the art in the room and he was selling it, and we greeted him.

I quickly realized that he looked familiar, he recognized me, he said my name, he asked me if I remembered who he was, and I asked him if he really was my former classmate SB; and he said yes.

I was surprised how tall he was now, how serious he was now, how his voice was different now, and how he now looked a bit like the actor Benedict Cumberbatch playing a serious character/artist.

I told him that he looked like the actor Benedict Cumberbatch now and that if he slightly adjusted his outfit and hair and walked around the building that some people would think that he was him, and I somewhat jokingly told him that I heard that Mr. Cumberbatch is pretty popular with women/the ladies; and so he might get some extra attention.

He started adjusting his outfit, his hair, and his hat (he adjusted his hat to look a bit like the deerstalker hat of Mr. Cumberbatch’s character Sherlock Holmes from the BBC TV show Sherlock) and he asked me/us how he looked; and we helped him until he looked even more like Mr. Cumberbatch, and I remember smiling/laughing a bit because it was funny how he was actually following our advice as an experiment to see if people would really think that he was Mr. Cumberbatch because until this point he acted so serious.

We briefly talked about our lives and he told me that he was married and that he had a child now to my surprise, I looked at him and I sensed that his/their child was a boy, and I told him this and he said that I was correct/right; and I told him how I was surprised by this, except for the part about him having a son, because somehow it just seemed like he would have a son one day.

He showed me/us some of his art for sell and I noticed some portraits of people, and I asked him how much it would cost for his least expensive portrait to have a portrait painted of me/myself; and he told me $300 or $300-something.

I looked at him making it clear that I could not afford that, he looked back at me letting me know that he knew this, and we both looked at each other in agreement smiling a bit because it was a bit funny for some reason.

We said a few more things and I told him that I wanted to buy something but I could not afford to buy anything unfortunately, he said that he has more expensive prices because he needs to make a living for him and his family, and I told him that I know; and I told him that it was good to see him again, and I wish him well.

We said goodbye and I/we walked away to continue exploring the building as my former classmate SB stayed inside his art shop, but he was going to close soon for the day; and I felt that he would walk around the building a while to see if anyone thinks that he was Mr. Cumberbatch, but I woke up.

The end,

-John Jr
