Following a sudden outbreak of psychokinesis in 0.1% of the population, a rapid transformation swept the world.
The godlike ability to manipulate matter remotely turned many power wielders to violence, inciting a long period of upheaval.
Finally, after a chaotic era shaped by the rise and fall of oppressive regimes, the psychic humans were able to achieve a fragile peace by isolating their society, creating a new world bound by complex rules.
In the town of Kamisu 66, 12-year-old Saki Watanabe has just awakened to her powers and is relieved to rejoin her friends—the mischievous Satoru Asahina, the shy Mamoru Itou, the cheerful Maria Akizuki, and Shun Aonuma, a mysterious boy whom Saki admires—at Sage Academy, a special school for psychics.
However, unease looms as Saki begins to question the fate of those unable to awaken to their powers, and the children begin to get involved with secretive matters such as the rumored Tainted Cats said to abduct children.
Shinsekai yori tells the unique coming-of-age story of Saki and her friends as they journey to grow into their roles in the supposed utopia.
Accepting these roles, however, might not come easy when faced with the dark and shocking truths of society, and the impending havoc born from the new world.
I did not voice record my dreams that I had each time that I woke up and went back to sleep, and so now most of them are lost.
Dream 1
This dream was inspired by me and my brother GC finishing watching the anime television show From The New World before I went to sleep.
The dream probably focused on some things that Squealer (Yakomaru) said and did, and some other things involving the Monster Rats.
The dream involved seeing things from a different point of view, in this case Squealer’s and the Monster Rats point of view, and it was interesting how this changes your perspective when you get to see both sides.
But that is all that I can remember of this dream.
Dream 2
The end of this dream involved automobiles, maybe there were some automobile problems or something, but I can not remember; and I also saw and briefly talked to my former male classmate / now cousin JE, and I possibly showed someone my newest orgonite pendant (or maybe this was just from a daydream during the day).
I just remember the very end of the dream taking place during the day, and I was in an open garage talking with my brother GC about whatever we were focusing on in the garage and other things like From The New World.
The garage was connected to a concrete driveway, and in the distance were some children playing near an automobile that an overweight man with dark-color skin with black hair in an afro who reminded me of Afro Dog Man was working on.
The man was talking with the children as well.
At some point the children and the man walked over outside our garage to talk to us, and I remember the man joking about something where he made up a word using the word Karmic from Karmic Demon (Karma Demon) and combined it with something else.
The man had seen From The New World as well to my surprise, and so we briefly started talking about his made up word and Karmic Demons but I woke up.
This dream was inspired by the anime From The New World that I watched an episode or two of before going to sleep.
The end of this dream involved me, maybe my brother GC, and several other people moving between several places like maybe we were trying to avoid the authorities even though we were probably not wanted but we feared that we were at risk of being caught up in an investigation because of something that we did in the forgotten parts of the dream that was possibly in a gray legal area or illegal under the rules / laws of this dream world which was possibly under control of an ethics committee so everyone had to follow certain ethics rules (laws) that this ethics committee made up so I guess they ruled this dream world.
This dream seemed to take place in the future even though things did not really seem or look futuristic but something about it felt somewhat futuristic even though it did not look like it, some or most or all people had superpowers including us, but breaking the ethics rules could mean having your superpowers taken and / or suppressed temporarily or permanently and possibly being arrested et cetera.
We feared this happening to us so we kept hiding and moving as maybe the authorities followed our trail or at least some of the places that we had been as they probably searched for clues in their investigation about something else that possibly could get us caught up in it too if they figured out we had been there.
One place that we went to was a warehouse that was dimly lit, at some point we left there after maybe me and my brother GC called our family, and we met with them outside the city where there was a field with a body of water and a dock.
Either a real or fictional male family member or brother was there too, he was mentally unstable and either was at risk of having his superpowers suppressed and / or taken away temporarily or this had already happened to him because of this and because of some things that he did with his superpowers while unstable, and I remember us talking about our situation and his.
At some point it was clear that he was too unstable to be trusted with his superpowers for now or ever so I decided to access his source code, I am not sure if it was on paper or how I saw it, but I remember his source code being letters and maybe some numbers somewhat like programming code but more like real sentences.
Once I accessed his source code I found the codes for his superpowers, and I copied them to where my source code was stored so now I had his superpowers along with mine.
His superpowers involved being able to communicate probably telepathically with people, and he could do some mind control and / or genjutsu (illusions) on people.
I then accessed everyone’s source code one-at-a-time so that we could all copy and paste each others superpower source codes so that we could all have the same superpowers, some of us only had one superpower at first and some of us like my self had two or three or more superpowers already, but I am not sure what my original superpowers were but I do know that I had two or three originally before we started copying our superpowers to each other by copying and pasting our superpower source codes.
After doing this I stopped to check out some food that my mom had just bought from a store, she said that the food was marked down at a heavy discount, and one of the foods was a clear plastic container with hard-shell tacos with lettuce and meat and cheese et cetera.
I had never seen tacos stored unrefrigerated in a container like that for extended periods in a store, I felt that this would lead to them being soggy and spoiling and / or bugs infecting them, but when I opened the container and smelled them they smelled fresher than you would think so I grabbed one and bit into it.
It smelled and felt and tasted fresher than I had expected as I chewed the food, but as I was chewing and looking at the taco I noticed something moving in the meat.
At first I thought that I was imagining things but then I saw a small worm-like insect moving on the meat, maybe a young maggot, and then I saw more movement in the meat so I started spitting out the taco and it landed in the water.
I told the others as I continued trying to clean out my mouth, but I woke up as I did this while telling them how disgusting this was and hoping that none of the insects got further inside my body.
This continuing dream (I probably woke up and went back to sleep continuing the dream several times without recording my dreams, and so now I have forgotten most of my dreams except for barely part of this continuing dream) was possibly partly inspired by an anime (animated) television show called From The New World that I watched several episodes of yesterday before taking a nap on the couch late in the afternoon.
I did not record my dream or dreams during the nap or that I had later when I went to sleep early the next morning, but I managed to barely remember part of this continuing dream.
My memory is unclear so I am not sure if I started out on foot or not (this probably changed each time that I returned to the dream) during this part of the dream, but I possibly was at a school and / or college at first or I walked to one or them and / or around one or them; and I met various people I knew and possibly did not know along the way and during my stops.
Another part of the dream probably involved me going to several places using my automobile, and once again I met several people along the way and during my stops.
Another part of the dream involved me traveling by bus and / or school bus as a passenger to several places, and once again I met several people along the way and during my stops.
Another part of the dream involved me traveling maybe by bus and / or school bus as the driver, and once again I met several people along the way and during my stops.
My final parts of the dream involved me traveling by recreational vehicle (RV), possibly as a passenger and as a driver during different times, and I met people I knew along the way and during my stops and some of them I knew would join me on board the RV at stops and / or during drives and at some point they would leave and I would continue my journey meeting others along the way and during stops.
A lot of these last parts were possibly spent on the RV and some of the stops included: parking lots, gas stations, restaurants, stores, and more.
I am not sure at which point in the dream they appeared but at some point I had triplets, they were still infants who could not even open their eyes, and two were boys and one was a girl and they had light to light-medium color skin.
I assume that I had a wife but I can not remember if I got to see her in the dream or not, I possibly remember flashes of her in my mind (she possibly had light-color skin) but I am not sure if those were of me thinking about her in the dream and / or if she was in the dream briefly, and I am not sure if she was still alive (she could have died after birth or something, but I have no idea) or where she was (maybe she was still recovering from giving birth or maybe she needed to go somewhere while I watch the children but I have no idea) or anything.
I am not sure if this is correct or not but there is a possibility that the government required that newly married couples have at least one child within their first year or two of marriage, I guess we were newly married and probably had no plans on having children (but that could have changed in the future) but we were possibly required to so we went on and did it to get this government requirement out-of-the-way, and to our shock and surprise we had triplets instead of the one required child.
I am not sure if we got married on our own or if the government had assigned us as partners if you do not get married on your own after a certain age, and I am not sure how or when our babies joined me on the RV (maybe my wife brought them or maybe one of my family members brought them or maybe someone else brought them or maybe I brought them but I have no idea).
I just know that during one or more parts of the dream my brother GC and / or some of my other brothers got on the RV and helped babysit my triplets on the RV as I drove the RV, and some times I watched them as he or they drove; and maybe most of the time we were parked, and at some point he or they left.
During one part of the dream my dad got on the RV and helped babysit them on the RV as I drove, and maybe he drove while I watched them sometimes; and maybe most of the time we were parked, and at some point he left.
During the last part of the dream my mom got on the RV and helped babysit my triplets while I drove, and maybe she drove while I watched them sometimes; and once again we were possibly parked most of the time.
I remember us changing diapers, feeding them, burping them, holding them, watching them as they slept, et cetera.
I remember holding all three of them sometimes using my arms and maybe a baby backpack that was on the front of my body, this all probably reminded me of when I used to help my parents take care of my younger brothers when they were young including the twins who I used to hold at the same time sometimes, and so those experiences helped prepare me for this but it was even harder this time with three babies.
It was a lot of work but there was probably something special watching my sleeping triplets and getting to hold them, I did not want to or expect to be a father any time soon or ever and I did not expect or want triplets, and so it was still a surprise and did not seem like it was really happening but it was cool thinking about how these babies were our babies that we created and that they were made from part of us and are part of us in a way and I planned on trying to be a good father even if this went against our plans and wishes (since the government probably required us to have at least one child).
One of my babies started crying when they were sleeping, maybe my daughter, and so I had to pick her up before she woke up her brothers.
I probably held her and rocked her back to sleep while watching over her brothers, this probably brought a smile to my face, and I probably thought about what they would look like and be like when they get older and what would life be like now and in the future trying to raise triplets.
But that is all that I can remember of this dream.
