Mr. Nancy’s Funeral Home Speech To Mr. Ibis & Bilquis | American Gods (Season2) | The Greatest Story Ever Told (Episode 4)

What Is It?

Part of a scene from Episode 4 (The Greatest Story Ever Told) of the TV show American Gods (Season 2) of Mr. Nancy’s (Anansi’s) funeral home speech to Mr. Ibis & Bilquis.

Mr Nansi’s Talk With Other Gods.
Mr. Nancy Speaks | American Gods
Mr. Anansi Funeral home scene!!!

Here is how Fandom describes this scene:

Mr. Ibis is working on Lila’s body in the preparation room of the funeral parlor when Bilquis arrives.

They greet each other with affection before Bast the cat and Mr. Nancy enter.

Nancy confronts Bilquis for initially siding with Mr. World and Ibis for not riding the carousel because he wants peace.

Nancy wants to know the trade-off for joining the New Gods.

Nancy understands oppression, exploitation, and human trafficking and how it has only evolved in America from slavery to prison, police brutality, and other traumas.

Ibis acknowledges that he hears every voice and records their names from a bird’s-eye view, while Bilquis claims that their suffering is timeless and not sacred.

Nancy tells them they cannot sit out this war and as three African gods, it is on them to fight for themselves.

If a Black lady had died instead of Zorya Vechernyaya, Wednesday and Czernobog would not be seeking vengeance.

Bilquis is moved by Nancy’s speech and kisses him deeply, while Ibis looks on uncomfortably before proposing they have a drink.

Fathers And Sons | Complaining | A Funeral Home And Police

Dream 1

All that I can remember of this dream is that I was with my parents and a group of people outside, and we crossed a rope bridge.

The next thing that I remember is my dad and I going to an event for fathers and sons that took place during the evening or night, and after the event we were told to follow the group but they did not say where we were going or why.

A Sitting Home

Source: Wikimedia Commons

I had several dreams last night but I forgot all of them except for part of one or two dreams, and one or both dreams took place during the day in maybe a slightly fictional version of the city of D.

Next to the highway / street where Sergeant B’s house should be was a one-story building that looked a bit like a combination of a small funeral home, nursing home, babysitting facility, and maybe a church.

I remember going to this building either earlier in the dream or in another dream, I entered through maybe two double-doors in the front of the building in an closed off entrance area like the entrance of a church, down the middle of the building was a hallway like at a funeral home, and on the left and right sides of the hallway were rooms/areas like at a nursing home.

I remember only seeing one person when I entered the building, a late middle-aged woman with whitish colored skin with long yellowish colored hair, and I remember asking her about the building and she explained to me what the building was used for.

Later at the end of the dream or in another dream I returned to this building during the day again, I remembered visiting the building before/earlier, but I forgot what the woman had told me about the building and so I went to ask her again.

I entered the building and it was a bit quieter and darker this time, I walked further down the hallway past the closed off entrance area, and a woman with whitish colored skin who was younger than the woman from earlier was walking past me as I entered this area.

The woman noticed me and she greeted me, I told her that I had been here before and that another woman had explained what this building was used for and what it was called but I had forgotten, and so the woman told me to wait a moment because she needed to do something.

The woman quickly returned and she told me that this building was a Sitting Home, I had no idea what a sitting home was exactly, and so she explained to me that it was a place almost like a temporary nursing home or a place where they would usually take care of / babysit people (mostly old people and the disabled and the dying); and I think that they also did funeral services because I assume that most people who come to the sitting home are dying.

I noticed that she seemed to be the only person at the sitting home and so I asked about how many people were they currently taking care of, she said none/zero at this time, and I wondered how they were still in business; but I woke up as I thought about what she told me.

The end,

The Day Before The Funeral

Source: Wikimedia Commons

I barely remember part of my last dream from last night, which took place mostly at my parent’s house during the day, as family members from my mom’s side of the family continued to gather/arrive at my grandfather’s house to prepare for my aunt CE’s funeral tomorrow.

At some point I was inside my parent’s house probably in my brother’s KD & TD’s room and I remember opening a door / portal that looked like a regular door, but it was floating in the air & it was at an almost 45 degree angle or something like that; and I think that I could make it appear & disappear by thought, but I am not sure.

I opened the door and it led to the funeral home or place where my aunt CE’s body is, where they prepare the body, and her body was mostly or completely prepared for the funeral tomorrow.

I went back through the door to our room and I remember showing one or more of my brothers the door/portal, and my aunt CE’s body (which was mostly or completely prepared for the funeral tomorrow).

My brother’s KD & TD seemed and/or acted younger & I remember one of them crying when I was joking/playing around with one of them & they barely bumped their head on something when we were on the other side of the door/portal where my aunt CE’s body was; and then we went back through the door/portal to our room.

At some point a woman came to temporarily stay at my parent’s house for some unknown reason, her dad was a preacher like my dad, and her dad knew my dad.

I probably showed her and my mom the door/portal at some point but I am not sure, and I remember my brother GC asking me if I wanted to go to A tomorrow; and I said yes, but I reminded him that we had to go to the funeral first, tomorrow.

I went to ask GC why he wanted to go to A tomorrow, but I woke up.

The end,
