What is it about?
This is how Rooster Teeth describes this animated web television show:
Fifty years in the future, an oppressive authoritarian force threatens to conquer the world.
A daring team is recruited to pilot a new form of weaponized neuroscience that powers devastating mecha, but they must be willing to sacrifice everything to save the world.
My Thoughts
I was surprised that a Rooster Teeth production made it to television, in this case it was on Toonami where my brother GC and I watched this, it is pretty cool to have a YouTube channel that we follow make it to the big time like this.
This show was not bad, it was just straight up average, a flat textbook 5 out of 10.
I did not realize that they had known actors and actresses voicing many of the characters until I started making this post, I am surprised that they were able to get/pay for that kind of talent, unfortunately I was disappointed in Michael B. Jordan and his character Julian Chase.
Julian Chase was a very flat and boring character, Michael B. Jordan’s voice work was flat and boring as well unfortunately, basically the character and his performance was like the character and the voice work for the character Preston Garvey from the video game Fallout 4.
Fortunately most of the rest of the cast did a better job like Maisie Williams who had a standout performance/role as the character Cameron MacCloud.
The show did a terrible job explaining who the enemy were and their motivations et cetera, most of the time you can not even tell if they were human or not or what they looked like or sounded like, and so part of it was overly simplistic while oddly also containing overly convoluted technology et cetera.
The end,
