Many years ago, an ancient civilization known for their advanced technology once ruled Earth, but were destroyed in the end by their misuse.
So, they left messages for later generations in the form of indestructible message plates written in ancient Hebrew, informing them that if they could not find a good use for their creations, they should be destroyed.
Various paramilitaries, national armies, and armed private forces began to secretly search for these “mysterious artifacts” in order to be used for their own good and against their enemies.
The ARCAM Corporation and their military arm, the ARCAM Private Army, can stop these forces from destroying themselves with their elite secret agents known as Spriggans (or Strikers).
Yukino Miyazawa is really, really vain, and loves to hear people praise her.
She’s always been the best at everything, and always tries to look perfect.
But when Yukino goes to high school, she’s finally upstaged–by Souichiro Arima, who scores better on the entrance exams and instantly snatches the attention of the class.
By accident, Arima finds out that Yukino is just pretending, and this starts off a series of events that lead to Yukino and Arima falling in love.
They then have to cope with a lot of obstacles in their relationship.
Years ago when I watched this television show I was not sure what to expect and I probably did not expect to like it, but I actually liked it and I thought that it was a well-balanced anime especially for this genre.
This anime was one of the animes that I got back in the mIRC days, thanks to my former classmate SS, he was ahead of his time when it came to things like this.
It is unfortunate that disputes between the creators prevented this television series from ever being properly finished and it messed up its production and it did not reach its full potential, but even with that it turned out pretty good if you remove those recap episodes.
This anime could be funny at times and then get serious jumping between comedy and drama and romance and even a bit of action at times smoothly, various animation styles were used and various references were made throughout the show, and I liked how it showed various aspects of some of the characters lives (family, school, friendships, et cetera).
This television show covered various things that you can relate to from your high school years, I like how the two main characters were from families with two different income levels, and how different sides of these characters were shown.
