Dr. Strangelove (1/8) Movie CLIP – Ripper’s Motivations (1964) HD

Dr. Strangelove (1/8) Movie CLIP – Ripper’s Motivations (1964) HD

What is it?

A YouTube video by the YouTube channel Movieclips called Dr. Strangelove (1/8) Movie CLIP – Ripper’s Motivations (1964) HD, which is of one of my favorite scenes from the 1964 movie Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb.

Here is the description for this video:

Dr. Strangelove movie clips: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list… BUY THE MOVIE: http://amzn.to/sfVV1y Don’t miss the HOTTEST NEW TRAILERS: http://bit.ly/1u2y6pr CLIP DESCRIPTION: When Mandrake (Peter Sellers) asks Ripper (Sterling Hayden) for the launch codes, Ripper refuses and explains his true intentions to start nuclear war. FILM DESCRIPTION: In 1964, with the Cuban Missile Crisis fresh in viewers’ minds, the Cold War at its frostiest, and the hydrogen bomb relatively new and frightening, Stanley Kubrick dared to make a film about what could happen if the wrong person pushed the wrong button — and played the situation for laughs. Dr. Strangelove’s jet-black satire (from a script by director Stanley Kubrick, Peter George, and Terry Southern) and a host of superb comic performances (including three from Peter Sellers) have kept the film fresh and entertaining, even as its issues have become (slightly) less timely. Loaded with thermonuclear weapons, a U.S. bomber piloted by Maj. T.J. “King” Kong (Slim Pickens) is on a routine flight pattern near the Soviet Union when they receive orders to commence Wing Attack Plan R, best summarized by Maj. Kong as “Nuclear combat! Toe to toe with the Russkies!” On the ground at Burpleson Air Force Base, Group Capt. Lionel Mandrake (Peter Sellers) notices nothing on the news about America being at war. Gen. Jack D. Ripper (Sterling Hayden) calmly informs him that he gave the command to attack the Soviet Union because it was high time someone did something about fluoridation, which is sapping Americans’ bodily fluids (and apparently has something to do with Ripper’s sexual dysfunction). Meanwhile, President Merkin Muffley (Sellers again) meets with his top Pentagon advisors, including super-hawk Gen. Buck Turgidson (George C. Scott), who sees this as an opportunity to do something about Communism in general and Russians in particular. However, the ante is upped considerably when Soviet ambassador de Sadesky (Peter Bull) informs Muffley and his staff of the latest innovation in Soviet weapons technology: a “Doomsday Machine” that will destroy the entire world if the Russians are attacked. Dr. Strangelove (4/8) Movie Clip – Water And Commies (1964) HD

Source: YouTube

I often remind people to make sure that they drink enough water or any water at all, and the other day at work I remembered this scene from the 1964 movie Dr. Strangelove Or: How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love The Bomb:

When I remembered this scene I jokingly imagined some of my coworkers seeing me in the role of Brigadier General Jack D. Ripper because of how I often remind them to drink some water. 😀

Harris has agreed to give Hoyt a shot at joining his team with a one-day ride-along during which Hoyt must prove his mettle. As he struggles with his conscience, an increasingly alarmed Hoyt begins to suspect that he’s not really being given an audition at all; he’s being set up as the fall guy in an elaborate scheme. Amélie Movieclips Playlist

What is it?

The day before yesterday I was editing my post called Amélie (Le Fabuleux Destin D’Amélie Poulain) that is about the 2001 French movie Amélie (Le Fabuleux Destin D’Amélie Poulain), when I decided to add some more videos to that post, there were 12 video clips of scenes from this movie by the YouTube channel Movieclips that were not arranged in a playlist as far as I could see; and so I made a playlist of those 12 videos called Amélie Movieclips Playlist:

Amélie Movieclips Playlist

Here is my description for this playlist:

This is a playlist that I made of the 12 videos from the movie Amélie that the channel Movieclips uploaded.

I made this because I did not see a playlist of these videos already.
