Summary: Adam and Eve have been lovers for centuries.
Both are cultured intellectuals with an all-embracing passion for music, literature and science, who have evolved to a level where they no longer kill for sustenance, but still retain their innate wildness.
Adam, a reclusive underground musician hiding out in the ruins of contemporary Detroit, despairs about human civilization’s decline, and worries about future survival.
Eve, who is perhaps 3000 years old to Adam’s 500, takes a longer view of history and is more optimistic.
She leaves her home in the ancient city of Tangier to come to his side.
As blood has been tainted by the zombies (humans), the formerly immortal Adam and Eve must secure uncontaminated blood from hospitals, or they will perish.
Eve’s close friend, Christopher Marlowe, is an elder vampire who provides Eve with hospital blood.
Adam gets his supply from Dr. Watson, a skittish hematologist who provides safe blood at a price.
Adam and Eve’s precarious footing is further threatened by the uninvited arrival of Eve’s carefree and uncontrollable little sister, Ava.
Unlike Adam and Eve, Ava hasn’t yet learned to tame her wilder instincts, and her recklessness concerns Adam.
An international co-production of the United Kingdom and Germany, the film focuses on the romance between two vampires, and was nominated for the Palme d’Or at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
I had more dreams last night that I would have remembered but I got awakened during the night because someone turned on several heaters unnecessarily and they turned the heater outside the bedroom too high causing the temperature to rise too quickly and get so hot that it disturbed my sleep/dreaming causing me to wake up a bit hot and uncomfortable and starting to sweat a bit, and this caused me to forget all of my dreams that I had before going back to sleep again later once I cooled down a bit.
So because of that disturbance I can only barely remember part of the end of my last dream, my memory is so flawed that this dream is now very unclear unfortunately, but I will try to type the little bit that I can remember of this dream.
All that I can remember of this dream is that one part of the dream involved my former male classmate JC but that is all that I can remember of that part of the dream, and one or more parts of the dream had the song or songs Sola Gratia (Part 1) and Sola Gratia (Part 2) from the Only Lovers Left Alive soundtrack playing in the background one or more times.
The last parts of this dream seemed to be symbolic and they seemed to combine a Game Of Thrones-like world with our modern world, the people/other living things/clothing/jewelry/abilities or powers/beliefs/et cetera seemed Game Of Thrones-like, but the environment/setting was in our modern world it seemed.
In one part of the dream several people (men and women) were telling their versions of an event that they each saw at the same time, each person described the same event differently and I got to see how they saw the event as they told everyone about their version(s) of the event outside during the day, and each of their versions seemed to involve their belief(s) in the religion of The Lord Of Light from the television series Game Of Thrones.
Each of their versions of this same event involved an Arya Stark-like girl who somewhat looked and dressed like her but her hair was a lighter color and she probably looked slightly different, in each of their versions of this same event this girl was outside during the day going up some stairs that looked like modern stairs and/or a modern escalator, and each of their versions of this same event involved her reaching the top and there was light at the top that she walked into so you could not see her anymore but you could see the light; and to them this probably meant that she was special/chosen and/or had reached a place that most people do not reach and so she was given the power of light by The Lord Of Light to bring light to the world during the day and/or something religious/symbolic like that maybe.
Each of their versions of this same event differed when it came to how she went up the stairs/escalator, in some versions she sat down and floated up, in some versions she stood up and floated up, in some versions she walked up, in some versions it moved her up like an escalator, in some versions she maybe crawled up, in some versions she maybe climbed up, in some versions she maybe ran up, et cetera; and they were happy about this event, but that is all that I can remember of this part of the dream.
The last part of the dream seemed to involve a game show/whatever (where people do various challenges) that was taking place outside, there were several hosts and obstacles set up, and there was a man there who looked and dressed like Jon Snow from Game Of Thrones; and I remember a male host with whitish colored skin holding a microphone while talking to him.
The male host also had a mostly blackish/dark colored necklace with at least one large blackish color claw and/or tooth on it and maybe some feathers, the Jon Snow-like man supposedly had recently gotten special powers/abilities/whatever (possibly from The Lord Of Light), and I guess the host asked him about this; and I remember the host walking away for a moment.
The host walked to a semi-indoor area where the other hosts were where they could see the Jon Snow-like man from various cameras and hidden areas, I remember him talking to a female host with whitish colored skin with long yellowish colored hair about the powers/abilities and their beliefs/whatever, and he said that he was going to test the Jon Snow-like man to see if his powers/abilities were real and really from maybe The Lord Of Light/whoever; and I remember him leaving with the necklace like he was going to put it somewhere, and trigger the start of the obstacle course/game show/whatever.
The hosts felt that the Jon Snow-like man was telling the truth but they wanted to be sure, I remember a gate opening behind the Jon Snow-like man and one or more humanoids/creatures came out of it, and I remember him walking toward them but I can not remember what happened; and at some point something or someone was sneaking up behind him, and when he noticed this the others went back on the other side of the gate.
A man or male humanoid with whitish colored skin wearing maybe a darkish colored Night’s Watch-like outfit or fur/animal skin limped toward him with an injured leg and he told a story that I can not remember that possibly involved a deer attacking him, and he asked the Jon Snow-like man to heal him; and I remember the Jon Snow-like man touching him, and he told him that he knew the truth.
Just by touching him the Jon Snow-like man was able to know/see the truth/what had happened, he told him that the deer was maybe really his dad and so I guess he was not really human and so he admitted that he had lied, and so the Jon Snow-like man healed his leg; he thanked him, and then he turned into the blackish colored necklace that the host had earlier and it fell to the ground.
The hosts walked out to let the Jon Snow-like man know that he had passed the test, they started talking to him and congratulating him, and talking about what this meant and it probably involved beliefs involving The Lord Of Light; but that is all that I can remember.
I woke up early this morning and I could not go back to sleep and my dreams/sleep was/were disturbed even while I tried to sleep, my social/generalized anxiety disorder and stress levels increased yesterday after getting a voice mail, and last night I found out what it was about and I started looking into finding a new free antivirus to recommend to people, and so all of this has been bothering me; and I still have not called back yet.
After not being able to go back to sleep I have been up trying to test 360 Total Security and see how it runs on its maximum security mode called Security where the Avira AntiVir and Bitdefender engines are enabled and files are scanned when they are accessed/opened, and so far I am impressed and I think that using it on a possibly infected computer will be a good experiment for this free antivirus to see how well it does; I have known about it since last year, but I have been waiting for more people to use and test it first because it is new to me and it is only the second Chinese anti-virus that I have ever known to get somewhat popular outside of China so I was trying to be cautious.
I can only remember part of one dream that involved using, testing, scanning, et cetera with the free 360 Total Security antivirus while Michael De Santa from the video game Grand Theft Auto V was acting/being depressed/gloomy/sad as music from the Only Lovers Left Alive soundtrack played in the background like the song Spooky Action From A Distance.
I remember 360 Total Security finding some unrecognized files that it wanted to upload for analysis and so those were uploaded, while waiting for the results it was mentioned that 360 Total Security can help with various computer issues but probably not with Michael’s gloominess, but it would try to help him anyway; and so it asked him what was bothering him.
Michael started talking about what was bothering him like he was talking to his therapist as the 360 Total Security antivirus listened and maybe gave some suggestions sometimes like a virtual assistant, music from the Only Lovers Left Alive soundtrack continued playing in the background, but I woke up early and I have been awake ever since.
I possibly have a new free anti-virus to recommend to people that meets some of my requirements: free, no registration needed, it is not trying to constantly sell you stuff, it looks nice and runs pretty well (though Firefox seems to be using a bit more of the CPU and RAM than usual at times, and so I am not sure if this is causing the problem or not), it is pretty easy to use, the default settings are pretty good (but for maximum security set the mode to Security, but it will probably slow down your computer more in this mode; and so a compromise would be to maybe only enable the Avira Antivir virus engine in real-time instead of Bitdefender and enable both of them for on-demand scanning), it installed quickly and easily, no annoying toolbars, it has browser protection, and it has some other extra features that can be helpful (it can scan for and patch Windows vulnerabilities, speed up start-up and network and computer by optimizing settings, remove unnecessary files to save space, and you can run files/programs in a sandbox isolated from the rest of your computer so that it/they can not infect you computer when using/testing them).
I will continue using/testing 360 Total Security on my computer to see how well it does, I also have been testing out uBlockUblock Origin for Firefox as a replacement for the Adblock Plus extension, and so far I am liking uBlock UBlock Origin better and my browser runs a bit smoother.
This morning I was awakened by someone at a critical time during my last dream which caused me to forget all of my other dreams and most of my last dream, which is very annoying because I did and I would have remembered some of them if it were not for the interruption which included an unnecessary phone call, the person who woke me up meant well but they caused me to forget things that I wanted to remember and waking me up turned out to be completely unnecessary causing me to lose two hours of sleep which I will not get back now and to lose most of my dreams that I wanted to remember (I did take this time to finish a job application, and so I will probably get a job interview in a week or two because everyone automatically gets a job interview for this job; which I do not like because I do not like job interviews or job applications, but this is positive news while also being neutral and negative news and it is for a job that I substituted for in my last job so my chances are better than usual); but even after all that amazingly I barely remember part of the end of my last dream which seemed to be inspired by the film Only Lovers Left Alive, which I watched before going to sleep, and maybe one of my other dreams was inspired by this film as well.
I can not remember exactly how this dream was inspired by that film but I do know that the dream had a slower paced feel/atmosphere/mood/et cetera with a focus on things that are not normally focused on in dreams (small details and topics in life that often get over-looked in dreams) and there was some good and personal and unique dialogue with the other dream characters, there was also a focus on music and musical formats/media (CDs, et cetera) and on personal/mundane/philosophical/et cetera topics and on people in history, and more things that I can not remember.
At the end of the dream I think that it was night and Sherlock Holmes played by the actor Benedict Cumberbatch from the BBC television show Sherlock, a woman with whitish colored skin with maybe yellowish colored hair, a boy who was possibly the woman’s son or young brother, my mom, maybe my brother GC, and I were out in the countryside of the city of D down a country road outside of a house; and it seemed to be an emergency situation, and Sherlock drove us there in his car.
It seemed that we were picking up the woman and the boy who were in a panic like they/we were in danger or something and we needed to get them away and leave quickly, earlier in the dream Sherlock and some of the others and I possibly went to this location earlier in the dream to maybe drop them off and some other things happened in the dream that I can not remember, and as we were preparing to leave I remember adjusting some objects in Sherlock’s car including some music CDs.
As we were leaving I remember talking about music and picking a music CD to listen to, we talked about history and people in history, we talked about the emergency situation, and we talked about various interesting things in life; and at some point I remember us driving to a store and maybe it was day now but I can not remember, and we went inside the store and near the cash registers there was a man who somewhat reminded me of the actor Roger R. Cross giving a demonstration for a job training program involving bonding / gluing things like jewelry and bonding/gluing things on automobiles et cetera.
I remember talking to Sherlock about very personal things including jobs and my problems/struggles with social/generalized anxiety disorder and depression, Sherlock had not know about this, and we talked about a grid that he once wrote on piece paper for me after he had glanced at a book on mental health; and this grid was used to help people with their mental health issues by them putting certain information on the grid each day, and he explained the grid to me.
I told him that I remembered the grid that he had written on a piece of paper for me, not knowing that I had mental health problems at that time, and I told him that I never did use it; and then I mentioned an idea where maybe he could help me by reading some books/et cetera and try to help me overcome those mental health problems, since he is so smart and quick to learn things, but we got interrupted by my mom.
My mom wanted me to go look at the job training demonstration and decide if I should sign up for one of the classes, you probably had to pay and you would take a class and probably get certified and then you would probably work for the company handling the job training, and so I stopped to watch the demonstration; and the man who somewhat reminded me of Mr. Cross lined up several small clear plastic pieces of tubing in a V-shape with little cut pieces of plastic tubing at the top to connect each end, you had to line the up a certain way it seemed, and then he started gluing them.
I asked him some questions as he was doing this, I also looked at his signs/papers/pamphlets reading about the different classes/jobs trying to decide if I wanted to try any of them, but I got awakened in the real world by someone who handed me a telephone because I had a phone call.
