Getting Blamed For A Crime That I Did Not Commit?

I barely remember part of one dream that took place in a fictional city probably during the day, but I can not remember most of the details of this dream.

The dream was somewhat long and detailed but I forgot most of it, unfortunately, and so it is very unclear.

I remember being at a building that might have been at a college, maybe I was a student but I am not sure, and as I was leaving the building something happened that I can not remember & I got approached by some police officers.

The police officers accused me of committing a crime that I said that I did not commit, I can not remember what the crime was, and I tried to prove that I was innocent; but the police officers would not listen to me and they seemed determined to blame me & arrest me and/or attack me and/or kill me, and so I think that I decided to run because I felt that I would be found guilty even though I was not.

I probably ran to my automobile and I was chased throughout the city by the police, most of the time I probably was moving around the city without being seen by the police in my automobile at first maybe & then I moved on foot, but they were always close to finding me.

I probably met several people who I explained the situation to, and at some point I even stopped among a group of people (maybe students) to explain the situation to them publicly; and I was tired of running and hiding, and I think most of the people believed me.

But during the dream I was being so calculated/plotting & planning so much/thinking about the situation so much/et cetera that I felt a bit like Rock (Rokuro Okajima) from the animated TV show Black Lagoon & because I ran from the police I started to wonder if I really had committed the crime or not; and I was not sure if I had or not during this part of the dream, but I did not think that I committed the crime but how I was acting made me feel a bit like a villain.

I stood outside publicly explaining my situation to all who would listen until the police came to arrest me as I talked to a crowd of people about my situation, and they took me to the police station maybe; and I was questioned, and maybe I was given the chance to pick a lawyer.

I remember talking with several lawyers until I decided which one I wanted to pick, I then probably called my family, and then maybe my lawyer helped me avoid having to stay at the jail until my trail; and maybe they were going to let me go home until the trial, but I woke up.

The end,
