The renewal was announced on August 19, 2020, by Netflix and released a video of showrunner Simon Barry breaking the news to main cast members Alba Baptista, Toya Turner, Lorena Andrea, Kristina Tonteri-Young and Olivia Delcán.[1][2]
The season was released on Netflix on November 10, 2022.
A soundtrack album was released the same day.
Originally planned for 10 episodes, the season’s run was cut to 8 as part of a general Netflix mandate to develop shows for 8 episode seasons instead of 10.[3]
