The Strain is FX’s high concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, former head of the Center for Disease Control, Canary Team in New York City.

After he and his team were called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism, Eph and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers waged war for the fate of humanity itself.

As the final season begins, nine months have passed.

The world has fallen into darkness, and the strigoi are in control.

The explosion at the end of season three triggered a global nuclear apocalypse.

The resulting nuclear winter liberated the strigoi allowing them to move about during daytime, and enabling the Master to establish a totalitarian regime.

Preying on the fears of the populace, the Master and his minions have created an unsettling alliance in “The Partnership.”

The majority of humans are now working for the strigoi, operating with a single understanding – collaborate or die.

With the world in disarray and our heroes disbanded, each of them will have to overcome personal hardship and defy death for even the smallest chance at fighting back.

All the while, the Master reigns supreme, furthering his scheme for the end of the world as we know it.

The Strain hails from Showrunner/Executive Producer/Writer Carlton Cuse, along with Co-Creators/Executive Producers/Writers Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan.

J. Miles Dale, Gary Ungar, Bradley Thompson and David Weddle also serve as Executive Producers.

The series, based on del Toro and Hogan’s best-selling The Strain Trilogy, is produced by FX Productions.

Final Thoughts

This television show started with some promise (potential) but it slowly got worse as the seasons went on and it became average and it went on too many seasons, and the final episode dragged and it was predictable in my opinion and in my brother GC’s opinion.

My brother GC and I did like some of the interactions between some of the characters sometimes, especially some of the funny moments with the character Abraham Setrakian, who was one of our favorite characters.

An Ariana Grande Music Video And The Strain With Dirt / Soil And Worms

I went to bed very late last night after having a long conversation with my brother GC about various things including aliens and discovering non-alien sentient life already on Earth, how do you think the first species that we find/meet will look, how would you want them to look, how do you expect them to act/be, how do you want them to act/be, do you think that our contact with them will be positive or negative or neutral, et cetera; and we talked about various short film/film/story/et cetera ideas of the same topic (mostly science fiction horror-type story/film/et cetera ideas with mostly tall Grey-type aliens), and so I can not remember most of my dreams from last night.

Dream 1

All that my voice recording of this dream mentioned was something possibly symbolic possibly involving something trying to eat you/me/others and/or something like that which probably symbolically represented something, and maybe I heard the song CoCo by O.T. Genasis in the dream (someone sent the video to me last night before going to sleep, and I thought that it was a parody rap music video or something like that 😀 ) but that is all that my voice recording mentioned because the dream rapidly faded from my memory as I was using the bathroom.

Dreams Partly Inspired By The Strain

Dream 1

Both of the dreams that I barely remember from last night were partly inspired in some way by the television show The Strain, I finished watching season one last night, and all that I can remember of the first dream is that focus was on how your infected/vampire loved ones return to those they love to kill/drain/turn them.

So this was explained and shown in various scenarios during the night involving some of the characters from The Strain, probably some other people, but I can not remember if I was in the dream or not; but that is all that I can remember of this dream.

Dream 2

The second/last dream was longer, more confusing, weirder, all over the place, and unclear and all that I can remember is three parts of the dream; and somehow a few things/characters from The Strain were part of the dream in a few mostly forgotten parts of the dream.

All that I can remember of the first part of the dream is that it took place during the day at an area that looked like a fictional version of C Elementary School combined with something else and there were various people there including maybe some of my family, former classmates, some characters from The Strain, other people, and I.

I know that people were talking and doing other things that I can not remember, my former male classmate AH told me that I once had a maybe Nintendo DS video game called Xenoblade that he wanted, and he wanted to know if I could find/get this video game for him; I did not remember this game and I never owned a Nintendo DS, but I told him that I would try to find it for him and more things happened during this part of the dream but I can not remember what happened other than I probably found that video game and gave it to my former classmate AH.

Also I think that there was a woman in the dream who I was interested in, and I hoped to get to know her better during the dream.

The second part of the dream involved an area that seemed to be my parent’s yard or looked like part of my parent’s yard, I saw my male cousin DE in the kitchen of The G House standing in front of the window probably washing dishes, and then he walked outside on the back porch to shake something on the ground/grass but I could not see what it was; and that is all that I can remember of this part of the dream.

The third/last part of the dream involved a woman with whitish colored skin with short yellowish colored hair wearing a light-colored suit going to a restaurant to meet and have a meal with her mean/harsh/et cetera grandmother who she and most people hated, and the woman liked to play mind games with her grandmother to annoy her like she annoys others so she had a variety of annoyances planned for her.

I remember being inside the lobby area of the restaurant, this part of the dream is too unclear and confusing, but I think that maybe I was going to meet the woman who I was interested in from earlier in the dream; and so maybe I was waiting for her in the lobby next to several small objects (maybe simple ceramic-like objects) that seemed to be possessed by several male characters from The Strain who somehow were inside these objects (maybe their spirits/souls/whatever where in/part of these objects now) and able to talk to me (I could not see them, but I could hear them and they could hear me), something probably happened to them while trying to hunt vampires, and maybe the only way to save them was to put them/their souls/spirits/whatever inside these objects.

The men inside these objects were also interested in the woman even though they were trapped inside objects so they were arguing and joking with each other and me about this, it was pretty funny, and they probably started giving me tips/advice; and we talked about other things, probably about how they got trapped inside those objects, but I can not remember.

As I waited for the woman who I was interested in I watched the other woman’s grandmother arrive (she was an obese woman with whitish colored skin with yellowish/maybe grayish/whitish colored hair wearing a dress who acted like she was better than everyone and she looked mean), the woman/her granddaughter had a nice set of annoyances planned for her where she would constantly move between things that her grandmother liked and things that she did not like, and the woman greeted her grandmother quickly spinning her around and then walking off talking like she assumed that she was following her.

Her grandmother was dazed and confused from being spun around so she started walking in the wrong direction at first, her granddaughter was standing at the table smiling with three tall/thin/attractive female models who she paid to be there so that her grandmother would think/assume that they were her girlfriends knowing that this would annoy her because she was against homosexuality, a waiter helped guide her grandmother to their table.

Her granddaughter introduced the three models to her grandmother who looked displeased as expected, the granddaughter smiled enjoying every moment of annoying her grandmother, and then they all sat down and the granddaughter started giving her grandmother positive news about her business/finances/whatever; and this made the grandmother happy, but then the granddaughter switched to another topic that she knew would annoy her grandmother and this pattern continued.

The granddaughter was enjoying every moment of this, her grandmother tried to retaliate with her usual harsh/mean criticisms and controlling methods, but the granddaughter knew how to counter this with good news/topics but then switch back to something to annoy her grandmother which she had learned after years of having to deal with her grandmother’s annoying ways; but I woke up as I watched this while talking with the men trapped in the objects while waiting on the woman who I was interested to arrive.
