Dreams & Reality
What is it?
The 2016 Japanese live action and animated micro-series Sand Whale And Me.
What is it about?
This how Wikia describes this micro-series:
Sand Whale and Me is the story of a female paratrooper in the distant future who is stranded in a vast desert.
With limited supply of food and water, her only hope is to catch a sand whale from a pack.
If she can’t, her life may just hang in the balance.[1]
The series also has a video game aspect, with portions of each episode featuring 3rd person point of view, similar to 3rd person shooters.
During these portions, there are also status bars in the corners of the screen that show the main character’s health, level, experience, weapon selected and ammunition remaining.
Final Thoughts
I am sorry Mamoru Oshii but this was one of the worst television shows that I watched on television this year, and it was the worst or next to worst show in the Adult Swim Toonami lineup this year.
This micro-series was strange, illogical, incoherent, et cetera; it was like watching someone’s crazy nonsensical Japanese comedic dream in the form of a micro television series.
I was hoping that it would be more like a Japanese version of Frank Herbert’s Dune, but instead it ended up being a nonsensical mess that got lost in translation I guess.
One good thing though is that it was a very short television show that was probably less than 30 minutes long, and so I was able to survive watching it; otherwise I would not have watched all of it.

The Daily Post had a Daily Prompt today called Scars, and this is what it said:
Write a new post in response to today’s one-word prompt.
Not sure how to participate?
And this is my response:
Pauline Croze – Cicatrices (Scars) lyrics by Lyrics.wikia.com::
Pauline Croze:Cicatrices Lyrics
Inscousiance (au fard?)Qui d’autre pourrait me faire
D’un baiser le baume
De cette cicatrice (bis)J’ai fait le désordre
Tout autour de moi
Plus qu’il m’est possible
Pour qu’au milieu du chaos
Tu naisses et me rende l’espoirQui d’autre pourrait me faire
D’un baiser le baume
De cette cicatrice (bis)
English translation by Google Translate:
Pauline Croze: Scars Lyrics
Despite my anger
I danced in the shadows
Against the facades I came to launch your name
And the wave traveled the worldThere is too much noise
Or too much silence
I broke the bridle
Who kept my modesty towards you
Inscousiance (in the make-up?)Who else could make me
From a kiss the balm
From this scar (bis)I made the mess
All around me
More than I can
So that in the midst of chaos
You are born and give me hopeWho else could make me
From a kiss the balm
Of this scar (bis)

Dream 1
The first dream took place in a familiar fictional city starting in the afternoon or evening, I remember driving around to several small gas stations and/or convenience stores, and I visited one or more of them several times.
One of these stores or gas stations had a male worker talking to his male friend about a problem that he was having, when I entered the building they told me that they were closed for the day, and so I left; and eventually I called my family to meet me at a house that was for rent, and I drove there.
